Would make for an awesomely cheesy parody, though I think it would be hard to get John Wayne to play Quaritch, damned pinko bull.
Also Shatner's toupee looks even faxer than the Star Trek movies.

ROFL!!!!! I find this very amusing. William Shatner as Jake? Oh man LOL!
The rest of the posters on the site are great. Very well done but quite funny. Just some of the people they choose to play certain characters LOL!
You don't know what it's like to be dead inside
lol, very interesting. I wonder how a 50's Avatar experience would have compared and if it would have been redone later like it was now once the technology caught up.
Looking at that poster... I think we are pretty fortunate Avatar came about at a time when the technology could really do the story justice. I think they could have made a pretty good film in the 50s, but it was JC's amazing work pushing the bounds of technology that really made it feel like a realistic and immersive experience.
Btw - probably the oldest trailer for Avatar.

The funny thing is its got nothing to do with the move apart from the name
Firstly we must prove that this is a genuine trailer, if so when was it produced/distributed (if at all).
If it was a real trailer then I guess it was a very early trailer simply designed to increase media awareness of the film instead of appealing to consumers. Either Cameron didn't want to reveal his secrets or when it was produced none of the CGI was finished.
Thats if it was a real trailer, the fact it has almost nothing to do with Avatar raises the possablity that its some fan trailer (a very well produced one though)
