Accidental Tsaheylu
So...I was thinkin' you know how when the Na'vi put their queue near another queue it kinda automatically reaches for the other? Well let's say what if two Na'vi are fighting each other or even just sleeping or sitting next to eachother and their hair happens to be close enough for the queues to crawl over to eachother...then what happens? What if you are accidentaly mated for life with someone you had no intentions of being with!? Or can you rip it apart before it's too late? Ohgod...

In a way it's 'possible' I guess lol... But seriously, No, I don't think such thing would happen. I can't really say as I don't know exactly how the queue works, but I'm sure that there has to be a Mental involvement aswell, not just an interaction due to two close queues, For a true Tsahaylu, any sort. And anyway, I didn't see any Na'vi couples in the same hammock, unless they we're a mated pairThe Na'vi are serious people, no jumping in other people's beds
Plus thinking about it, when they're walking around or sleeping, the Queue looks 'closed' so to speak, only when they grab it and point it towards something, the cute 'tentacles' come out

I think more emotion is needed to be mated for life, but one would think they'd know a lot more of each other and have more empathy with each other than they would others.

It seems like their queue only works when they need it, but when Jake saw his 'tentacles' for the first time he didn't need it so I don't know.
I think it is like breathing. when you don't pay attention on it it "doesn't" work. but when you want to make tsaheylu you "noticed" it.Accidental tsaheylu...

i like a lot of the ideas hereand i think that for tsaheylu to happen,both persons would have to mentally aroused and in the moment,and their joining the queues is the culmination of emotions,feelings,being on the same plane of thought,desire,need,and Seeing their beloved in the same state of mind and body. i am always a bit jazzed after seeing the tsaheylu scene at the Tree of Voices,tbh. can you imagine being able to mentally connect with your lifemate?! *drifts into trance....*
