I recently wrote a tribute song for Avatar and made an accompanying video. In it, I'm playing the suling degung, a flute from the island of Java. I hope you enjoy it!

love it. the flute captures the atmsphere of being in a forest perfectly. you used pro tools or something similar for the other instruments? and are you following some sort of scale when playing the flute? very nice composition

Thank you, and thanks for listening. I recorded some Tibetan tingshas for the bell sound, and then used some loops on a music mixing program to create the layers of synth drones and to layer clips of forest sounds. The Na'vi singing, of course, is from the Avatar soundtrack.

Edit: I missed your other question. Yes, I'm following a scale that's used in West Javanese music.
