Default Thoughts On The Bond With Nature

I thought it might be a good idea to have a debate, a Peaceful debate I'd like to underline , about the concept of 'Being One With Nature', and I'll begin by expressing my opinion about it, related to the world we live in today, I'll try and make 4 paragraphs instead of a huge one all together

Being One with Nature: I'll begin by saying that I am fully aware, that just the fact that I'm here now, typing on my laptop on a forum on the internet, already shows how far away I actually am, sadly, from becoming truly One with nature, altough, being here, is the only thing that keeps me close to my true home and family, Avatar Forums <3 Watching Avatar, made me discover what it really means to be One with nature, observing the Na'vi, the way they are so in sync with their world, the way they hunt, they live, they eat, they spend time together, they sleep, and every single one of these things, happens in the Nature context, in the environment, that beautiful environment which is the Pandoran bioluminiscent rainforest. And continuing, when I see the Na'vi life, hope you understand what I mean now, saying they're One with nature, is almost 'not enough' to describe them, It's everything to them, and they know it, and are humbly happy with it. Meaning, It's not only physical, but It's also a Spiritual bond they have with nature, with the forest, with Eywa When Jake becomes Omaticaya, and then him and the beautiful Neytiri go to the Tree of Voices, I think It's just pure magic, that atmosphere, the light, their Happiness and Love shared together, and all they really need, is their Love, and the world around them to feel in Heaven, and all of this just happens naturally because only they understand what it means to be pure and just live a simple life, led by values of respect, honesty, loyalty and love and thankfulness for the life and planet they've been given <3
So, with this said, having explained where all my feelings came from, The Omaticaya I can go on and talk about the slightly 'sadder' part, because It's the impossibility of the dream of Pandora being intangible, heard that before?

-Feeling One With Nature On Earth: Many times on this forum, I, and others have been 'made fun of' by other members, for expressing things like feeling One with nature, in our present life, on our planet, living a different life from the majority of dirty skypeople masses. And I was said to be a hypocrite, and other names... :/... This has always made me feel very sad and annoyed, and ofcourse, Angry. as many have noticed... Well, Having said that I could never truly be One with Nature, unless I went and lived in the Wild right now, I can try and explain at least what I mean regarding this concept of Unity with nature, in my own life. Well, first of all, in my opinion, it may not be 100% valid for everyone, as some people may change and be moved just by watching Avatar for example but I think most people that love nature, are born with it, It's some kind of special bond you have with Nature, plants and animals I think ^_^ And I realize these things, just by looking at my life and what I enjoy and what the priorities are for me, I just need some peace outside, fresh air, a run, a tree, a pet, some flowers to feel happy Some people, would prefer a billion times, to go for a walk in a field, or in the woods for fun, to experience the beauty of nature and It's simple existence surrounding you, instead of going for a drink, or going out in town just to show off or stay on facebook 24/7 etc... I hope It's clear what I mean without having to list numerous examples which I could, but I don't want to bore anyone more than anyone already his at this point So yes, people that enjoy exercising, but not just for estethic reasons.. When you exercise and you just love the feeling, of training the body, trying to keep it healthy, because It's a gift, and the feeling I get of being more capable of doing things (physical things obviously) with a more tonic body everytime, It's a good feeling in my opinion, but then again, fitness is an 'added value' I guess, and It's not really that necessary since the most important thing about being One with nature, is the Soul and the Mentality, they truly matter
And then there's the most important part of being One with nature for me, which is when Nature becomes your friend, a companion for life, and you realize that Nature will never ever let you down, It's Always there for you <3 It can happen in the saddest moments, or the happiest moments. Unfortunately most of the times it was in sad moments, and at those times, I just leave the house and go alone, as far as I can in the only field I have left near me, and just try and escape this life I don't want to be part of, and sit for a long time thinking, and soon you realize you've forgotten ALL your problems, and you just see you might be contemplating a lively cloud, or a star, or a butterfly, or stroking some soft grass Could be anything, so simple, yet so powerful to take you away! or run as fast as I can, and just look at the simple beauty around me, the trees, the small river, the soil, and the sky, the best thing, the clouds, the stars, the fresh air, you take a deep breath, and just feel all that clean air restoring you, and it feels better than anything you could ever buy... Or like this summer, when I spent a day just running in a field and jumping and climbing up and down hay bales with my dog Just eating pears and blueberries freshly picked That's when I see all you need is already there, and It's Free <3
When going for a hike is more exciting than any videogame or night out with fake friends...
So, in the end, I believe that in this life I live, fitness, and love for nature, animals, plants, enjoying the peace and untoppable beauty of nature, is my only way to be closer to Pandora... And that beautiful Omaticaya clan <3

-humans and Nature today, and reasons why I can't fulfill the dream: the worse part -_- While the haters talk, and they are the ones that can't even do 5 pushups, or run a kilometer they just live their materialistic life and hate on others because they do not See, and they don't understand what true Nature lovers mean and talk about, because they can't get over the mentality that leads them, like: 'Nothing is important or even true, if it doesn't give Profit to Me' <---that type of Rubbish. Why I think It's like this? Because modern day humans, to me, are total Garbage, they make me throw up. Some have never even seen a forest! Some people think nature is a myth -.-, while the majority, thinks nature is a 'tool'. Just hearing the word tool next to nature makes me angry. It's like people today, think that nature is simply a tool, an object, to fully Exploit, and get anything they want, with no respect. They think that their life is the main issue, they are filthy anthropocentric minded people. The main mistake is thinking that just because we have nice houses and big roads, we have a modern world, and nature is the 'other world', NO! NATURE IS THE WORLD. The cities, the towns, are simply tiny insignificant artificial places in the vast infinity and greatness of nature, that are covered up in cement and plastic things, and make people think they are 'safe', and everything is on a plate for them, packaged and ready for them, all the 'facilities' are right outside your house, and all you need to do, is spit blood to earn some paper and reach those facilities. What they do not See, is that today humanity is a bloody joke, we look at documentaries to learn things, like the idyllic places on tv are magic, instead of thinking, "I can got there and live there if I wanted", rather than stay in my 30 square meter craphole house. And we can't do anything without reading 'instructions'. They forget all the concept of living in a world that you actually KNOW, and know how to survive in, in sync with it, not by exploiting it. This is what I hate, It's so ridiculous, and stupid. They do not See that Nature reigns Sovereign, that it can whipe us all out in any second with a hurricane or an earthquake. Nature gives food, life, shelter, yet it is just destroyed and forgotten, all it seems to be today is a taboo...
An example of skypeople's evilness, could be a simple 'tale' I read when I was a little child and still remember: A lumberjack had to cut down a big lovely Tree down, under the bright Sun on a Hot summer day. As he slowly chopped it down, he never realised, that the Tree he was killing, was the same Tree that still gave him fruit to eat, and shade to rest and sleep under, that same Tree that restored the man who was chopping it down...
    The message is pretty clear

-Conclusion: Altough I'm completely STUCK in this life, I'd love to live like the Na'vi do, basically like natives, but It's easy to understand it's very hard to do, you can't just change life like that... To live in the wild, I believe first you have to be born into it, so your body is used to it as a standard condition you can survive in, while in my life, I'm used to my bed and coats and heaters and my cooker, aren't we all... :/ Because you know that any native has a WAY tougher body, and more resistent immune system, and they can cure themselves from anything, without going to the doctor... -_- You have to know everything about nature, and you'd learn it by Experience, not at bloody school. And most of all, you need a Family. And I don't mean just your parents, I mean a Community. The Na'vi live in clans, natives on earth are different tribes aswell, that's because Union makes strength. And together, you can count on your fellow people And when you live a pure life like that, when there's no hypocricy or other life styles to have, you can count on true loyalty and friendship and fellowship too, not like our world... Even with different beliefs or religions you can live in a peaceful community, Avatar Forums is an example, there's many arguments some times It's true, many times I've argued myself, but if I analize them, It's only because some people don't accept another belief without making fun of it, and I can't pass that up easily...
So, I will keep doing these things I love, like spend time outside, exercise, whatever it may be that makes you feel more One with Nature, and screw the big social masses. As Han says in Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift , "Look at all those people down there, they follow the rules, for what"? They're letting fear lead them."... I loved those words. Diversity is the Key, God made us all different and special, but we can be united on some things, like Nature <3 I'd love to be with the friends I met here
I doubt anyone will have read all of this... I realize myself it's a lot of mumbling... If anyone has, I'd be Very Happy to read anyone's opinion Even without reading this LOL, just post on about Nature and your relationship with it

I'm not sure what to say, except oel ngati kameie.

    Edit:
Concerning us learning from documentaries, I once had a friend come up to me, saying "I just watched Planet Earth, I wish things like that were here." My response was something like "Are you kidding me? Go outside, look at the trees, the insects, the frogs, the deer, rabbits, and squirrels. Looks at the clouds and the waves coming up to shore. Look at the turkeys wandering around, and the marsh grasses and sand crabs. These things are all around you. Listen to the rain, to the birds, to the wind in the trees, to the glory of thunder, to the waves and the jumping of the fish and the buzzing of bees. Feel the moss and the sand in your toes, the rain on your skin, the insect landing on you. Smell the fresh morning air and the flowers and plants and grass. Then tell me that 'you wish there was nature here'."

We are removed from our own planet, so that we think that nature is part of a documentary, not part of the real world. We forget simple things, like how morning smell different than night. We look at the world though a window it seems, blocking ourself off.
We need to break that window.

My own relationship with nature might be like jakes. He says "it seems like this is the dream, and out there is the real world".
That is how I feel, like nature is the real world, the place that I love and enjoy being in. But that I keep ending up in some other place, where I feel I don't belong, where all of my actions feel robotic, not like my own.

Now that I have said that, I have made a decision. I'm going outside. NOW. I don't care if its freezing out. And I think I might just run somewhere nice.

Yes. The problem is that so many people are so removed from nature that they don't see it. But no one can teach you to See.
They have to find their path to Seeing by themselves, and so many turn away.
