Probably some animal who bite him maybe? or a bullet hit his ear? Lot of possibilitys

last time I saw the movie I noticed his ear. probably a animal I think. he is a hunter
(great option that childhood incidentI'm pretty sure tsu'tey wasn't that good as he now is/was)

Looks too big to be a bullet, unless it was a gunship cannon. Tsu'tey was always very prideful and it wouldn't surprise me that he sustained that injury in his youth while displaying his prowess to his peers.

Probably some kind of battle/hunt, not necessarily with the RDA.
