So was it an Ikran??? If so, I wonder how the heck he got in a fight with one, and how he survived. Or it could have been one of those 6-legged dogs that Jake 'met' too. Just because there's three scratches, doesn't mean the animal has to have three claws, I mean it seems obvious, but you're not necessarily hit with all the claws, it depends. When you scratch someone it's usually your 4 fingers, not your thumb though ^_^ for example.

You know, I always thought it was a thanator, but thinking about it, that would probably kill him...

My friend and I came up with a lot of ideas for this situation actually -

• Thanator
• Nantang
• Na'vi
• He stepped on a rake.

-Thanator would've killed him
-Nantang probably, but they like to hunt in packs so they would've killed him
-Na'vi would have killed him
-stepping on a rake means you get hit with the stick end, don't think that would cause scars

he probably got scratched by a tiger or lion when he used to work at the zoo back on earth i read somehere that he got scratched by a creature that wasn't shown in the film. hopefully the book will explain it (if it ever comes out ._.)
