    Jake was experiencing using the Avatar legs and running, which was what he was working out, in his first run. He wanted to go full blown in his run. I think that Norm was just working out the different gravety, and was being careful of the expensive equipment (Avatar body)..

    Looks like it (and sounds like it too).

    Especially when you consider that Max was screaming at him to get back on the gurney. And the doctors trying to sedate him before he did something stupid. Like pull a muscle, or trip and sprain an ankle. I have no idea how long it takes an Avatar to heal, but I would hate to see Jake end up like that.
