It's like I've always said, it isn't how many times have you seen Avatar but rather how many trips have you made to Pandora.
Here's my Avatar fan fiction. Give it a read, if you're so inclined.
I hope Neytiri narrates one of the sequels...to imagine hearing her voice as a view of the forest canopy wiz past would be utterly, heart pounding, awesome! As for her talking to the camera like Jack Sparrow, I don't think it would work out right. Jack and Neytiri are completely different in style...Jack loves and wants to be the center of attention, where as Neytiri is only seen and heard if she wants to be seen and heard.
The Jack Sparrow bit would work for a teaser trailer and a nod to the fans. Not part of the movie.
i like your comment, sir, that Neytiri only wants to be seen or heard if she wants to...that so sums up her personality and character perfectly. Ney is part of the clan, the people, but if she desires to make herself known, you're either on the recieving end of clan business or highly accurate arrows. i so love that she is indepenent,self-motivated,and can more than take care of herself in any situation...my kind of woman!!
awesome sig courtesy of Ney's Photographer,Prowler.
Whilst it would be utterly.. Mesmerizing to have it seem like she's talking to me, I must wholeheartedly agree with that others have said, it's not watching a film, it's being hurtled into the future and nearly 6 light years away, to the wonderful and spectacular Pandora. Sometimes I think wonder if Jakes an avatar for me, because I know exactly how he feels, each second I have to spend on this planet must be what it felt like to return back to his real, disabled body. The feeling of having an infinitesimally utterly perfect life ripped away from you, without a moments notice, I'm sure we can relate.
Very true, and I like how many examples of this are given in the movie. ^^
I think they could do it but as a little fun extra in the dvd ^^
