The great thing I like about Grace is how she learns to 'see' the real Jake. The bond they form over the course of the movie was fantastic, heart warming. From just another moron with a gun to someone she protected and cared deeply for.
As I laid dying beneath the Tree of Souls, with Jake desperately pleading for me to hold on, I had a vision...I saw myself being reborn!
I like Grace's sarcastic wit.Who knows what she's learned about Pandora during her time there. i'm surprised there isn't a story on just her character and how she got to Pandora to head the Avatar program. That's also what's cool on this movie is there are so many characters to see and learn about them.
I love Grace, she's so witty and funny throughout the movie. My favourite line is when Tsu'tey asks Jake if he mated with Neytiri and Grace is like "Oh s***!"![]()

Grace Augustine is definitely one of my favorite characters. (But then again, I generally like all characters that Sigourney Weaver plays.) Her quibbles with Selfridge and Quaritch were hilarious, and yes, her wit was sharp and biting. I loved it. I felt terribly when she died, because it seemed so unfair that someone who had basically given all of herself to the furthering of science and the understanding of the Na'vi/Pandora way of life, was not able to see the fruits of that labor. In addition to Jake's character, Grace's character went through a heartwarming transformation as well. Here's hoping that she makes a triumphant return in the sequel, even if only in spirit. The franchise from here on out would benefit tremendously by her presence.
She would be a good friend to have, no sh*t about her, she says what she thinks and lets you know where you stand with her, and always stands up for her beliefs and her friends.

Grace is fantastic. Sigourney Weaver is at her best here and it was great to see her onscreen again. Whilst I wouldn't claim to love everything she's been in but when she's at her best she shines. Mostly it's her obvious intelligence, I think, which is so different to vast majority of holywood bimbos.
Personally I think they made a mistake killing Grace off. Lets hope she'll be back in some form or other in the next movie.
