Nevertheless, those are EPIC! Why Tom Cruise though?

How about you give Jessica Alba a shot?
I don't manipulate the eyes, I just use pre-done ones (as you know ). Tom Cruise I did because his face is easily recognizable.

Alba I'll probably do (because there's also been another request on this thread for her). But I've got a few other projects in mind first.

    BETTER IDEA!

Do one for Conan O'Brien! I'm sure he'll put it on his show, he seemed to love Na'vi a lot. (Haha).

One thing to note is that the Na'vi ears are placed inline with their eyes, the base of the ear more or less at the bottom of the eye, if a little higher, while human ears sit between the top of the eye/bottom of eyebrow and end at the base of the nose, if you wanted proper looking Na'vi.

The only difference is that Na'vi ears are longer obviously.

Well, the tutorials technically aren't written out yet (as far as I know from that particular website), but they will be available in February. This is the tutorial webpage I went to. As you can see there are incredible videos, but no instructions on how to make them. From watching the videos a whole bunch of times I sort of figured out the jist of what was going on.

But thanks! :D Thank you for enjoying!

Ah. I'll definately note that in my next project. Thanks.

However, I did know the ears were supposed to be longer; I just shrunk 'em on Cruise because they'd make his head look so small... but then, I could've flattened the ears to make them look like they were facing sideways. Also, if they were placed at the base of the eyes they would've appeared smaller. So yeah... thanks, really. I'm definately noting that in later projects.

(This message is also edited into the original post.)

I'm changing the name of this thread to "My Photoshop Avatar Faces" since I'm now accepting requests for people's faces along with celebrities. That's right, if you send me a proper pic of yourself facing the camera directly, non-smiling or hardly-smiling, and with no hair in your face, I will spend the time and effort to create an avatar face for you, just like with Tom Cruise.

    What's the catch?

The reason why I'm doing this is first off, to be friendly, and secondly to improve my photoshopping skills. By giving me your face you're not only getting your wait's worth in a fantastic avatar image, you're making me happy by helping me learn more about PS and satisfying my own desire for more Avatar-related thinking. While I can't watch the movie every week, I can remind myself of the joy I experienced when watching by making avatar faces.

So what are you waiting for?! Send in pics NOW! Give me work to do! I LOVE IT!!! :D
