My Photoshop Avatar Faces

Ok... finally finished my first photoshopped attempt at making an avatar face. I'm not gonna do my own face because I just don't have the right pic.

Instead I'm starting to do a whole bunch of celebrity avatars, starting with Brendan Fraser. Yes, it looks pretty strange, but I've never really edited to this big of an extent before on a photo. As I get better, so will the avatars.



EDIT: I've quit making avatarizations for Avatar-Forums as well as the new partner forum "Tree-of-Souls". I'm focusing on something entirely new that surpasses this. It will be ready by this summer.

Britney Spears I might do, but I've seriously got three others in mind right now, and the next'll be posted tomorrow (takes about 3 hours apiece to do these).

Ok, finally got done with my next one. This one's a thousand times better than the Brendan Fraser project, though I still need to improve.

These next two are for Tom Cruise's avatar. The first is the original, and the second is a slightly different version where his eyes and lips are smaller, and his eyes slant a little differently. The second version was an attempt to make him look more like Tom Cruise. So... please post feedback on which one might look more like him, what improvements I could make, etc. I'll be finishing my third celeb project in two days.

I use photoshop elements 7. Fraser took about 3-4 hours, but Cruise I really worked on for about 7 total hours. I watched this one YouTube video that linked to a website that said had a tutorial for making avatar faces on Photoshop, but the site says the tutorial is coming on February 1st, and I didn't want to wait that long. I might put up my own tutorial on how to make 'em, but until then...

...I was planning on doing Kristen Stewart next, but I could take a break and take requests.

Just send me a pic, but make sure it's large, facing the camera, and serious-faced (not smiling). Or... you could be smiling, but only very hardly.

You need a lot of patience to make an Avatar photo-manip. I tried doing it to myself, got annoyed really quickly.

Nevertheless, those are EPIC! Why Tom Cruise though?

How about you give Jessica Alba a shot?
