Here is a bit of a Disney update...the article mentions the upcoming Avatar attraction and some of the things Disney is looking to do in the future and also what they arent going to do.

Simply how can they show respect for the films underlying story , I know they can create a section of pandora , create rides that simulate flight (an Ikran flight sim thats not on rails would be very cool) but to show respect for the films story (and I assume the 2 and 3 films story) you would have to address issues that would probbly make disney unconfortable conflict betwean coperations and native peoples .( most people see the Navi as an "example" for Indigenous peoples we oppresssed in the past) enviroment distruction posably even animal rights are all at the heart of what avatar stands for . I will asume they will run it like an enviromental theme park and ignore the other issues , in that case they create Captain Planet theme world with NaVi. and glowing plants , not Avatar World.

I think its fairly clear this park will not address underlying issues in the storyline. After all, people on this forum may see the message Avatar carries as important, but the general public who saw this movie saw it as an action story, nothing more. Thus, the attraction will most likely be visually stunning with thrill rides and tame attractions to draw the largest crowds possible.

Man... I see you... Altough I find it hard to say, because I admit I'm quite enthusiastic about this park as I've written here in the past You are totally right though in my opinion, and I agree with what you say...

With the films being pushed back Im going to assume this is going to be a huge attraction and draw in tons of people to Orlando. I'll go simply to experience it!

My sister works as Disney World as a photographer, so I've been to Animal Kingdom a good deal. I wonder how they're gonna pull this one off
