Default Would sentient life on other worlds diminish Pandora?

If JC introduces new sentient life on other worlds/moons, might that diminish the special regard we have for Pandora? I kind of hope this does not happen. I know that, in the Star Trek and Star Wars universes, almost every planet in the galaxy is populated with intelligent life. I sort of hope it remains just Earth and Pandora. Anyone else feel that expanding the universe in this way would not be a good thing? I mean, I don't want to see a different moon with a different species and a different language. It would diminish the "specialness" of Pandora.

I agree with this completely....it would make the Na'vi lose their "unique" feeling

I think if you accept that there is other sentient life out there, in this case the Na'vi, then I don't think seeing other sentient species necessarily makes them less special. I do however think it would be making a statement about how common sentient life is, and I don't believe it is that common that there would be multiple sentient lifeforms in that system.

I do however hope he doesn't introduce other sentient lifeforms because that would possibly mean less screen time for the Na'vi... which would be a tragedy!

I wouldn't mind other films or stories set in the Avatar universe that feature other sentient beings, but not in the two sequels. The first film was minimalistic in terms of contact with sentient extra-terrestrial beings, and I would love if it remains that way, and I'd also wish that we don't have contact with others for many decades or even centuries.

I wouldn't see much point in doing it afterwards either, but I won't protest if it is a good story. I don't know, the Na'vi and humans getting together and both realising that are a part of one bigger family?... It doesn't sound too bad, but it has been overdone in TV shows, it could possibly work... some day, but... certainly not now... Keep the two sequels the way the first one was - free of aliens. It's best when the humans are the only aliens in the film.

i wouldn't mind seeing life on the other moons or planets of the Alpha Centauri A system,as long as they were brother clans to the Na'vi clans on Pandora, and that maybe somehow these clans aid the Omaticayans in their titanic struggle against the onslaught of resurgent rda/secops murderers in the sequels.

Actually I wonder about the entire variety of life forms that could be on the other moons of Polyphemus. Cameron can just say so much at the moment.
It means "Wind Rider" in Na'vi.

Good thread, I agree, I'd rather stay focused on what we know and have seen already, if something completely new was introduced, it would probably slightly 'ruin' it all, but that's just my opinion, I normally don't like big changes, if Pandora is perfect, I'm happy with it and there's no need for more

Personally I would prefer to see another, vastly different form of life.

Maybe a warrior-species on one of the other moons or somthing.

Humanity represents the moral issues of Corprate societies.

    The Na'vi represent Naturalism.

I would like to see a species to represent a true warlike race.

i would like to see more of Pandora....much more! and maybe some Na'vi clans exist separately on another moon in the system, and answer the call of Toruk Makto in joining the Pandoran Na'vi clans in fighting the eventual return of the barbarian rda/secops savages. Eywa is mighty, and we really have no idea of the extent of her influence or her capabilities if this world is pushed to the edge...

Life in other star systems in the avatar univere? No.

There definitely would be though, since life is prolly quite common in that universe.
