Ney'tiri will die in Avatar II

I bet we're in for a Titanic-like ending to Avatar 3. In that film--not #2--I bet Jake and Neytiri both die, but in vastly different ways. I'll put my money on Jake being killed in battle late in the final film. As for Neytiri, she'll live for many years after, eventually dying of old age. Just as Jake narrated the prologue in the first film, she'll narrate a sort of epilogue in which we'll see the Omaticaya restored to their former glory, having had no human contact for most of a generation. Then Neytiri will go off alone and bond with one of the spirit-trees. Hearing Jake's voice calling to her, she'll lie down and simply "go to sleep" peacefully, finally joining him after a long separation.

That's the sort of thing *I* expect to see anyway. No brutal end for Neytiri, but an end nonetheless.

I just can say it again:
Out there are many Neytiri fans, many. I don´t understand why so many in this thread think that Neytiri dies. No one wants,that she die. Why don´t hope, she´s alive in Avatar 2 and 3? Why should JC think, is is good to kill her? Everyone loves her, and that was the plan. Everyone will feel depressed, if she dies in Avatar 2, no one will want to look it again, or look Avatar 3. James Cameron is not stupid, he wants money. And he won´t get much money, if he kills neytiri or Jake. I´m sure, he know that. And something important: Avatar is NOT a sad movie. The Na'vi won the battle, Jake and Neytiri was lucky at the end. Grace died, Neytiri´s father died, Trudy died, Tsu'tey died and Wainfleet and Quaritch. But no one of them was realy important. Jake and Neytiri are the main charakters, they will never die in Avatar 2. Maybe at the end of Avatar 3. Just maybe. If they die in Avatar 3 no one would like to watch it again! BUT...if they are alive and happy EVERYONE wants to watch it again! And that´s the aim of James Cameron, right? If he´s kill one of them he´s very stupid. Well, don´t feel sad, Neytiri or Jake will NEVER die!!

I don't believe anyone will die in Avatar 2, including their off-spring. I figure 2014 for Avatar 2 and 2016 for Avatar 3, they'll likely be made close together. The actors will be aging and doing other things as well. Therefore I expect new lead actors to be in place by Avatar 3. This will then be a viable franchise with spin off movies and new characters that take us in different directions using the motion capture technology. Right now they have to be building all the design elements for future movies, preparing generic sets. JC knows now what can save him time so he's having that work done now even before a script is completed. They're also likely working on various digital models that take time to develope again even before a script calls for them. I assume they're currently building a large library of digital content that can be used in future movies.
