Default Maybe we'll see the first contact in one of the sequels.

Sigourney Weaver said that we'll see her again in the form of a flashback. I'm wondering if, somehow, we'll get to see the moment humans first arrived and made contact with the Navi. Matter of fact, I'd love to see a whole movie about that! The first images of Pandora picked up by a telescope, the journey of a rover landing and exploring the alien surface, an international coalition to build the first manned interstellar spacecraft, the first steps, and finally the first contact. It could be a classic science fiction film in the likes of 2001, a film that attempts to define who we are, show the wonders of the universe, and give us amazing visuals.

Wow, I need to start writing.

That would actually be pretty interesting, but I can't help but feel as if the entire movie was like that that I'd fall asleep after so much of it. But I'd love to see Sylwanin, maybe Tsu'tey and Neytiri as a child, etc.
The most exciting part about life is that at anytime, anyplace, you can die. You will never see it coming. It may come when you least expect it, or it may come when you want it, but you will never know when. Instead of being depressed about it, let it drive you. Live for that single moment. Because when it finally comes, you will regret nothing."-Me

Also, I want to thank Prowler for finding this pic for me. I know it aint customized or whatever, but it's Neyney. She doesn't need anything added to her.

Though can we recon the discovery of the Na'vi, in the backstory their discovered during the unmanned probe stage, while this may give a reason for mankind to go there, it does rob events of a certain amount of drama. It would be better for the manned mission to go just for the planets and animals and the discovery of the Na'vi being a suprise. This would add some drama to the situation as the operation radically changes and the people are put under stress.

Also how about it in a semi-documentry film style, like its a docudrama in-universe.
