I'd love to see a Grace flashback. But Quaritch.. no. You can only do so much with the bad guys and I don't think he would even fit into Avatar 2.
Oh and another thing the tree of souls was destroyed wasn't it?
Peter: "Don't worry Lois, I read a book about this once..."
Brian: "Are you sure it was a book? Are you sure it wasn't...NOTHING?"
Peter: "Oh yeah..."
Having someone that has died involved in a flashback is not the same as bringing them back from the dead. I was not saying that a flashback should be the focus in the sequel.
I was saying that it would be interesting if we see what happened at the school and that I think it was possible that Quaritch was involved in the shooting.
I just thought of an interesting way that Stephen Lang could return though. I know it would be a little cliche.
We may know that Lang said something that eludes to his return; “Nothing's over so long as they've got my DNA.” We know that Jake was only able to go to Pandora because he was a twin. What if Quaritch had a twin brother that was on his way to Pandora who happens to be an avatar driver?
Is it possible that the Na'vi allow more avatar drivers to come to Pandora and one happens to be Quaritch's twin? This brother having found out what happened to Miles integrates with the other avatars and gains the trust of the Na'vi and the others. After sometime he exacts his revenge.
I know it is a little out there.
It is a science fiction movie! Who said it had to be realistic and couldn't be far-fetched? Couldn't Grace come back in holographic form? Flashbacks aren't a possibility because they are representations of past events. I do agree with the possibility of Grace communicating through Eywa because as we already know her spirit is with Eywa in the Soul Tree.
