[PART 2.33]
Barely 30 meters away is Jake – sitting between Neytiri and Mo’at and enjoys his freshly hunted meal. He has already spotted Jonas and waved at him but he didnt really notice Jake behind the firepots. As Mo’at looks around the round while chewing on her vegetable roll, Jake realizes its the right time to start: “Tsahik, it’s not tricky for me to sense you’re in deep thoughts.”
Mo’at looks at Jake, the light of the fire reflects on her face: “I see uncertainity for us to come.”
Jake: “Your voyage yesterday has moved you much...”
Mo’at: “The bowl can’t be unfilled anymore.”
Jake: “Would you like to unfill it if you could?”
Mo’at places her hand on Jake’s upper arm: “Some things can’t be undone. First I wished it can be undone. But Eywa has chosen you to come to us... as she has chosen our destiny. It is my duty to guide the people through.”
Jake looks into Mo’ats shining eyes: “I found my own destiny, its here, serving the Omaticaya. And I’m proud of being part of.”
Mo’at smiles.
Jake continues: “But a part of mine will be always human... I want to know if Eywa can heal their world.”
Mo’at’s eyes turn to Jonas behind the fire, who seems having a conversation with Najat and another nearby na’vi: “That world is far, I now know Eywa is not everywhere.”
Jake: “Eywa can be there. Norm is a scientist, he found a way. But it would require
our help, I mean all of us...”
Mo’at focuses her eyes on Jake’s: “How can we bring them Eywa?”
Jake: “Norm told me about Eywa’s breath and that it can be felt and influenced. We can send it to Earth, so the seed of Eywa can grow there.”
Mo’at looks sceptical: “How?”
Jake: “Our ancestors had prepared it already but something obviously went wrong. I wish to make it unhappen.”
Mo’at keeps silent.
Jake: “We would need all of us on that moon, would be a matter of some hours and then we ‘re heading back. IF Norm prepares everything.”
Mo’at: “He doesn’t need to prepare.”
Jake: “He has to, since....how to explain you... we have to go to another time with that starship. To a time when Eywa’s seed on earth was still stronger and able to receive the energy to grow.”
Mo’at smiles: “Jakesully. Nothing can be make unhappen or happen in the past. Past is done.”
Jake shakes his head: “No, tsahik. This ship may be able to bring us to a time before our grandparents lived.”
Mo’at shrugs: “If this is possible, then we can make all killed by the warriors and kunsips come back and not let it take place?!”
Jake nods: “If we send Eywa’s breath to earth, the gunships and warriors may never come to Pandora. No RDA, no hellgate, no destruction of hometree.”
Mo’at: “And no Jakesully.”
Jake’s eyes widen: “As I got told by Norm... I should be still there as we are all onbord the ship.”
Mo’at: “This is great task and great risk.”
Jake recognizes Neytiri suddenly gets up and walk away.
Jake: “We would resucue a whole world, as big as eywa’s child. It would become another eywa’s child.. and many people.. so many. Even Norm’s calculation is wrong and I would be gone after that, it would be still worth doing it, as I count nothing to all what we would save instead.”
Mo’at looks at Jake: “Are you sure, Jakesully? Are you ready to bear the risk?”
Jake nods. “Yes. I know I have no choice.”
Mo’at put her hand on Jake’s broad shoulder: “Then you have my will with you.”
Jake lowers his head, showing his respect and appreciation: “Irayo, ma tsahik”
Mo’at nods and gets up: “Neytiri. She is away.”
Jake rushs up: “I will look for her. And again, I feel I own you much, tsahik. I hope I can pay that back one day.”
Mo’at looks at Jake with a serious face: “You should know. We na’vi don’t pay.”
She turns around and walks away.
Jake has hardly time to reflect Mo’at’s message and
rushs out of the hometree while his eyes darts the surrounding forest. He notice some movements behind some trees and rushs into that direction. It’s Neytiri, walking between the trees and bush-like plants.
“Neytiri!” Jake manages to catch her up: “Neytiri! What’s wrong?”
Neytiri stops and turns around, exposing her tearstained face.
“Neytiri!!” Jake tries to grab her arms.
She pulls back: “Do you think I have no ears?”
Jake’s eyes widen: “God...! Neytiri...! Why you didn’t just tell us your opinion about the idea?”
Neytiri pulls back her fingers, before energetically pointing them on Jakes chest: “Do you.. do you think I am the stupid Neytiri?! I told you about our child, I trust you! You make this sip go to past time and you never here again! I trusted you!!” Neytiri bursts out in tears.
Jake grabs her back, Neytiri struggles and cries: “Neytiri... if your ears were so widely opened you would have heard that there is only a small risk that I won’t exist anymore in here after that mission. And if... you also heard what I said. My life is nothing in
comparsion to a whole world I would help to be alive again. It is eywa’s will, my destiny. I would feel guilty if I wouldn’t do it...”
Neytiri collapses in his arms, her screams and bursts of outcry are echoed back by the surrounding forest.
Jake’s eyes are filling with tears: “Neytiri... we will be together all time and if not.. you would never even know that I ever existed.”
“I don’t want.. I don’t want.... ma Jake! If I don’t have you, who I have?!”
Jake wraps his arms tightly around Neytiri as his tears are rolling.
