    Default Avatar II "Americas" Theory

I see a lot of theories on this forum for what may happen in Avatar II (Which will almost certainly be called something else), but I haven't seen this particular theory yet. This is something I thought out a while back, and the idea was conceived for a fanfiction that eventually ran itself into the ground.

Pandora is a thoroughly unexplored world. For our knowledge, the only recon humanity ever got beyond the rainforest took form in the identity of orbital scans. They seemed to know that Na'vi clans existed beyond the forest and that the continents were multi-terrain. Other than that, we are given nothing.

What if the other continent of Pandora, for there are 2 major landmasses (Avatar took place on Australis), was less hospitable than the forest of Australis? What if, should there be a relative lack of foliage, an entity like Eywa was unable to form? If forests or any kind of plant-occupied area were few and far between on this other continent, no Eywa- like network could exist. It would be like eliminating 5/6 of the internet; would it be as all-encompassing as it is now?

With this in mind, the Na'vi of this continent would not have such a reverence for nature. In fact, they'd be similar to human society in culture, I'm thinking along a feudal system of government. They would fight more, and they would advance technologically more. So what would happen if they discovered the Omaticaya's continent, and decided to invade? The scenario would mirror Europe's slow takeover of the Americas, somewhat.

Not only does this allow for a sort of "what would the Na'vi be without Eywa?" scenario, but it fulfills the promise of Avatar II exploring Pandora's oceans. After all, would an invading navy not lead to some kind of naval combat?

So, with that theory in mind, thoughts? Plausibility? Please explain.

It's likely that most of Pandora is lush with life. It looks pretty much all-green on orbital images, Grace confirms that there are more than two times more trees on Pandora than on Earth (even though Pandora is smaller), and with that much carbon dioxide you have a much more unvaried and temperate climate. I'm betting on a massive foliage on all of the continents. And since the trees, plants and animals should be of the same origin, I'd expect a network everywhere.

But it can be semi-disconnected? Also Eywa was most powerful at the flux vortex (the Tree of Souls is there). I'd expect that there are two flux vortices on the planet, and by extension it will be less powerful away from them. Maybe something interesting is going on at the point that's the longest way from both? The people there shouldn't be able to see Polyphemus either. This could prove interesting. But I don't think we'll get there without one of the shuttles.

For explorations of the deep ocean, there are few options:
    1. Humans coming back with submarines.
    2. The remaining science team knock together a submarine.
    3. The Na'vi from the other continents have submarines.
    4. A sea beast that allows a rider to climb inside acting as a natural submarine.
    5. Sentient sea life.

I'm not sure I'd like to see Na'vi that have advanced as far as to invent submarines. I'd like some more "advanced"/different Na'vi who have invented clothing, wooden houses (the old school looked like a lovable place), maybe ships, but not more... An invasion from such Na'vi from another continent could prove interesting.

I would love to see their faces when they discover that some of the "primitive" Na'vi there have access to much more advanced technology than they've ever seen, and are collaborating with the Avatars who wear really interesting fabrics. A more advanced society would be far more shocked to see aliens than the the natives. The more advanced a society becomes, the more arrogant it is. It starts to believe it knows everything.

And maybe they won't regard Eywa as a goddess, while at the same time not realise its full potential. They never reached the Tree of Souls (or one of them, if there are many) and they probably think that the trees of voices are a local phenomena, and the voices stay within the tree...
