7 Years Time...

So Avatar 2 is said to be set 7 years into the future after the war with the RDA, my question.......


Will the characters look too different from how they do now in 7 years?
I'm unsure because we don't really know enough about the Na'Vi life yet to know what 7 years in human time is to a Na'Vi. (It might be something like only 2 or 3 years to them)

7 years mmh enough time for the "sky people" to come back ! With some new Na'vi bodies as a new one for Quaritch (with DNA) to infiltrate the Omaticaya haha

Because the Na'vi have an active lifestyle, especially for warriors/hunters like Jake and Neytiri, I don't expect them to change much at all as they age. They will have more wrinkles, but they will look pretty much the same.

It'd be at least 11 1/2 years between films because of the 5 year 9 month and 22 day travel time between Earth and Pandora. That being said, you should check out my theories on what may be coming in the 2nd film:

I heard a decade, that it will be set in but who knows.

The fact that we dont know how the Na'vi age is means that they can look exactly the same in the sequel. I dont think I saw any wrinkles of Eytukan.

It won't be that long if the RDA is cycling ships to and from Pandora. No one said they had only one ship. Doubt if they would dare be out of communication for seven years. Also, just like today you can communicate faster than you can travel. So doubtless the RDA knew about the uprising long before the ship returned. And why could they not communicate with the outbound spaceship?? All good questions. Biggest question for the RDA and whatever governments they are tied to on earth is: Do we write off this loss of investment and human life or do we return for retribution and reconquest. Shrug.

Humans being "human" suggests they will be riled up and want to come back fighting, regardless of the fact they were in the wrong by armed robbery of Pandora and murdering the Navi first. Still don't follow the science of the Exo Packs. Supposedly they just filtered out the bad elements in the air and just had to clean and/or change the filters periodically. Human skin is very absorbent. It "ain't" all that great a shield from chemical intrusion. I would think a great deal of the plant life and insect life would be extremely dangerous to humans. Briars, poison ivey, poison oak, etc. The bite of a nat or bug on earth is one thing. An alien insect bites. ummmmmm Not so much. LOL

But hey. it's a movie right. Cameron can play fast and loose with anything he wants regardless of logic. He did a stupendonous job with Avatar. I mean no criticism whatsoever. Just that he took a LOT of liberties with logic and science but you can't take up screen time explaining everything. Heck of a movie Cameron. Sequel possibilities are darn near endless. Fun to speculate though.
