I would like if they kept the majority of the soundtrack from the first movie in the sequel.

Keep most of the same music, the theme and etc. but also include something new.
it wouldn't bother me if they kept the same soundtrack from the first for the second movie, the music works to an enormously good level with the planet of Pandora and the Na'vi.
hope James Horner will keep same soundtrack with couple of new songs
That's one of the most ridiculous things I've read on this forum, LOL, I'm hoping a whole new soundtrack is used and it most likely will be, if James Horner doesn't return for the sequel I really hope James Cameron gets either James Newton Howard or Steve Jablonsky to do the soundtrack, both of them would make amazing soundtracks for Avatar 2, even better than what James Horner did for Avatar IMO.Originally Posted by SBG
ridiculous? I kind of agree. I think Horner did an outstanding job and I personally hope that at the very least the main themes are still there in the sequels.
something like Star wars did for its episodes. the main theme was there but every movie got a new sound track.
if we had to get a new guy to do it though, i would want john williams involved. (Star Wars has one of the best soundtracks of all time!)
Agreed, the main themes should be included but enhanced/changed/altered in some way, I think it would add a much needed dynamic to the feel of a sequel.
