Aren't there special screens to get around the problem of 3D glasses? While it may not be economically feasible now, I can see some theaters having the technology by Avatar 2.

That is very good for gaming tho, movies, not so much.
Well I only read though two pages and yours caught my attention because “I see you”! LOL

I haven’t seen Avatar in 3D but! I don’t need to! I’ve seen IMAX 3D 70mm 15pef at the Bournemouth IMAX now closed down and Dolby 3D Toy Story at London’s Empire Leicester Square.

I don’t see 3D all I see is front focal image with depth and nothing more.

3D glasses are districting due to my awareness of (peripheral vision) the frame on the glasses just gets in my way and the lens filter reduces light level, just like a pair of sunglasses.

No for true real 3D the image need to be all-around you the audience. That is 3D!

The image on the screen only directs viewers forwards. Myself, I find myself listening to the film mix Dolby/dts (haven’t heard SDDS8 yet!) The sound is more 3D than image that merely has depth to it, but no side to side image or back or above and blow image.

Cinema is only going back to the future and not progressing forwards enough. They should quit with what they are doing and look at the “bigger picture” that surrounds us.

3D is all around us all the time, even when we sleep we see dreams in 3D we might have a nightmare of falling and then wake up in dripping sweaty bed sheets.

The image needs to be projected on the rear wall sidewalls and ceiling and floor, with depth now I challenge Hollywood, are they up to challenge can they deliver? Well let’s see.
