If RDA has the technology to blend human and Na'vi DNA together and create a hybrid, plus the technology to make such a hybrid an avatar, they would have the technology to not only clone a human but make a human avatar. Combine that with the fact that Jake was able to operate his avatar with zero link problems from at least 50 km away as well as through the effects of the Flux Vortex (distances interpreted from the holographic scene where it shows Hell's Gate at 42K, presumably the distance from the primary mining site, and stops on Hometree at 93K) so it is reasonable to assume that an avatar link could extend much further. What's the result? The Quaritch that Neytiri killed was actually an avatar from a remote base, possibly even on another moon. That's why he had little fear of the toxic atmosphere, because it wasn't his real body that was in danger.

We don't really see any confirmation whether he is dead or alive. It's possible that the sec-ops troops recovered him from the AMP suite alive (probably right on the edge of death) and cas-evaced him. If he is in the 2nd film i would expect to see him focused 100% on trying to kill Jake. I don't think he ever knew that Jake had mated with Neytiri, if he did know then I would expect to see him focus on trying to kill her as well.

Quaritch would kill her, she shot him. He almost did, before Jake stopped him. Thanator-dead. Now it was Neytiri's turn. "Give it up Quaritch! It's all over." "Nothin's over while I'm breathin' ! "

Jake would just lose it, filled with rage if Quaritch did that to Neytiri. And vise versa if Jake died, Neytiri would kill the colonel.

As much as I liked Quaritch and all the other characters in Avatar if all the dead ones are resurected from the grave in the sequels, my fear is it's going to stretch the "credibility factor" of the sequels to the breaking point. How much of a role will "avatars" have in the sequels? In one sense Jake is no longer an avatar as he now inhabits his avatar exclusively and no longer needs the link with his human body. In another sense he will always be an avatar as his "avatar body" is an artificial construct developed by the rda. Even though his avatar is primarily a blend of human & navii dna it also has built into it the albility to connect to the link wich gives him some of the qualities of an android/synthetic being. Could the RDA possibly tap into the still existing link connection in Jake's avatar and disable him or shut him down?

Cameron enjoys using foils in his films, look at Aliens and Terminator 2 for such examples. If Quaritch or some like him were to appear in the sequal, I would not be surprised if such a situation happens with that character going to the Na'vi side with Jake against the RDA... or some other threat.
It means "Wind Rider" in Na'vi.

Honestly, about the 'revivals', i'm pretty straight forward, and as much as i love Trudy and Grace and Tsu'tey, if they're dead, they're dead I think doing revivals and weird magic things would spoil the film, and James Cameron, will not do that I'm sure I mean, when i think of Avatar 2, i'm always so curious, I mean, look how much we talk about Avatar, even almost 2 years later soon, we're here like it was yesterday we saw it, and it's so important to me, and so i always think, is it possible to make something better than Avatar, which already is the Best to me? ^_^ I think Avatar 2 will blow us away
