Default Stephen Lang talks about Avatar 2 and Terra Nova

Didn't know if this was much news, but upon typing in Avatar 2 on a search, I got this interesting news article. It does not say much concerning Avatar 2, but it has an interesting note about it:

It means "Wind Rider" in Na'vi.

"Wall-mounted keyboards? It must be THE FUTURE!"
    - Crow, MST3K "Space Mutiny"

"They set out from Plymouth and landed IN Plymouth! How lucky is that?!"
~ Eddie Izzard "The First Thanksgiving"

"There are many dangers on Pandora, and one the most stubtlest is that you may come to love it too much."
    - Dr. Grace Augustine, "Avatar"

Maybe, but then how could he survive? I mean, it's not a fantasy movie, it's all real so to speak, so Quaritch gettin' two poison -dipped arrows shot from Neyney, seem quite lethal to me ^_^ I mean, i dont know how Avatar 2 will be, and i'll love it anyhow, but seeing Quaritch turn up again, i think it would spoil the film and throw it back in the same old type of movie with the 'return of the bad guy who everybody thought was dead, pissed off' LoL anyway, cool link Hufwe irayo

well they were able to create a Na'vi just from their DNA....so maybe they could clone/reconstruct Quaritch and all his memories? But i agree with you

A clone of Quaritch, but who knows how that would be. Someone write a fanfic titled Just a Copy and it's sequel Warrior's Waltz that has the clone in it. If that is the case, who knows how the clone would behave. Look at Alien Resurrection when Ripley was cloned. She had memory problems, and because she had the alien queen in her, she was conflicted with which side she was allied with, xenomorph or human. A cloned Quaritch could be either nicer than the original was or more sadistic and evil.

The way this seems to be handle sounds like the situation in Terminator 2, in which the bad guy from the first film is one of the heroes (and consequently, one of John Connor's protectors) in the second film. I'm also going to point out that in Alien, the android Ash was protrayed as a cold, calculating "company man" who would risk the entire crew to research the xenomorph and tried killing Ripley in one scene. In the sequal, Aliens, Bishop is an android who, desprite Ripley's former distrust, eventualy saves her and Newt as well as become one of the heroes in Aliens. He is also, in direct contrast to Ash from the former film, a more symphatic, more "human" character, willing to risk his life to save the remaining marines, Ripley and Newt from the Xenomorphs.

I have a feeling that Cameron loves to use foils in his sequals, so if Quaritch is coming back, he might be helping the Na'vi out rather than trying to kill them.

If that is the case, he will still be the tough bada** from the first movie, but on Jake's side.
