I mean shes smokin, but i cant figure out what it is that gets me. Is it that shes blue? half naked? so deadly? those huge eyes? or the fact that shes a million miles away and i'm stuck on this damn island between locke and widmore

Well this on the mental sense. But I believe Cameron made her have many human-like qualities in her physical appearance, like having a rounder face and softer more feminine like eyes and features than her fellow Na'Vi women, which immediately makes her the most attractive.

Well, there was one of the theories about that problem discussed here http://www.avatar-forums.com/characters/8124-they-calculated-neytiri-beautiful.html <- you can read it, if you want ;) (Read at your own risk... xD )

Check out the thread "Neytiri is devastatingly beautiful" (http://www.avatar-forums.com/characters/176-neytiri-devastatingly-beautiful.html). There are many articles discussing what makes her so beautiful and appealing to us. You'll see that most of the people fall for her personality and attitude as much as(or more than) her physique.

1.) She's very attractive.
2.) She doesn't bitch about everything (from where I come from, most of the girls have a talent for whining about everything).
3.) She has an incredibly strong personality and is content with herself.

If you try to keep strictly to the body and appearance, I'd say that in my eyes, it has a lot to do with her "being herself" (physically speaking), and in a very healthy, very spontaneous kind of way.
Neytiri is the very opposite of self-conscious. She moves and walks with the grace of an animal, and her body is sculpted by her life (and also the evolution of her species you could say) so that it is in perfect harmony with her environment, her actions, everything she is or does.
We humans wear high heels, uncomfortable and complicated garments, in order to alter the way we look, the way we are, because we do not trust it. It might create some sort of illusion, but the artificiality of it shows a lot, even though we have grown used to it.
Neytiri is fit, free and happy with her life, and it shows.
She runs, hunts, dances, sings, inhabits her limbs and her every movements - and that shows in her muscle tone, her postures, her facial expressions, etc. She isn't ashamed of any part of herself, and this sets her body and movements free from any constraints.
We forbid ourselves tu run randomly in the streets, to jump on parked cars or sit anywhere on the ground, to climb random places or stop in our tracks to sniff a strange scent in the air, even sometimes to laugh or cry freely and openly; for obvious social reasons.
We have learned, since we were 3 or 4, to completely tame - even to sedate - our animal self, its spontaneity and sensuality. We are taught to keep it in a locked up little place and hardly ever let it out, and those who can't make it are unable to have a normal social life.
But this "inner animal" obviously suffers a lot from it, it sort of withers. This changes us. Not only mentally, but also physically.
Compare the average modern ten year old to a child raised in a tribe in the Amazon rainforest. The latter always seems so strangely graceful, even in the most bizarre settings.
There is a part of ourselves that we refuse to be.
This is not the case for Neytiri.
She is both whole and in perfect harmony with her body and surroundings. This makes her exceptionally alive and beautiful.

Cameron and Zoe definitely hit the nail on the head with this character. Neytiri was one of the few female characters I have ever truly enjoyed in a film.
The first things you really notice about her, is how she moves and speaks. It's fluid with natural grace, not restrained by a trained act of the perceived normality. I personally find her accent very attractive as well, as well as how she speaks, which is always raw in the tone of her current emotional state. As the movie progressed, you see her self confidence, completely oblivious to the concept of 'self-conscious', which shows in her natural and uncensored movements. She is basically the embodiment of the passion that Zoe put into this character. Just one other reason why the assholes at the Oscars should have nominated them for some acting awards.
As the story moves along, you get a sense of her personality, which is very spontaneous, joyful, intimate, sensual, independent and strong. These are all demonstrated throughout the film, for example, the way she moves during the pseudo-montage just before Jake goes to claim his Ikran. In these scenes, where she moves through the wet underbrush, and drinks the water from the flour, it demonstrates her comfort and intimacy with her woodland world. I also think this is a good example for my above point where I discussed her movements. But, I think what came through her personality the most, which is what it was when dealing with her movements, was the passion invested in the character. The credit lies, in my opinion, with Zoe because she really was the one who brought the character to life and made Neytiri who she is.
Then there is her body, which is a body fitting the definition of ideal as it pertains to this situation. She is physically fit, she has deep absorbing eyes, and smooth, round and elegant facial features. Along with that she has long, toned, slender legs, as well as a pair of small, firm breasts and a tight rump. Quite appealing to the average male, not necessarily in terms we could label as hot, because I personally don't think her character displayed that, but in terms of beauty.
I think all of those traits are what help to make a women beautiful. Everyone loves someone who is confident and natural. People should love themselves, and peoples actions reflect their opinions of themselves, as well as their deeper traits. Neytiri's body, her form, her fitness, are all reflections of what lies within.
THAT is why she is beautiful.
However, I suppose there is an aspect of her which could be described as sexy or hot, since this is what is in question. Many people find exotic women to be both beautiful and sexy, and Neytiri is surely both. But then again, in the way I see her, they are generally one in the same if every sexy crosses my mind, never is it alone. By that I mean, no one thing she does is sexy by itself, it is also beautiful.
Again, Kudo's to Zoe and Cameron.

I think that trying to explain why she is so attractive is like trying to describe the taste of salt... there can be a million explanations but the truth is that she is simply attractive.
PS> She's not a princess.

I'm not sure... I think, for me, it's that she cares so much for her surroundings and her people, and also that she has those lovely expressions... (probably helped by the huge eyes :nsmile:) Either way, she's still a beautiful character.
In order
At 1: She is blue, blue is a fantastic color.
At 2: She is 3 meters tall. I always loved tall women.
At 3: She is pretty rough, I prefer rough women.
Note with rough I do not mean a anoying bitch.

As far as looks go, she's just a blue and very tall version of Zoe Saldana, who is a very attractive lady in her own right. Plus James Cameron made it no secret that he wanted her to be sexy.
And #2 she had a great personality. Strong, yet sweet, friendly, yet fierce. Which is also not a shock since Cameron has always made his females lead pretty strong, and very likeable.

Neytiri is irresistible because she is ...
- intense
- passionate
- loyal
- fearless
- stunning
- free-spirited
- intelligent
- adventurous
- tender one moment, fierce the next
- a faithful partner to her mate
- forgiving
- independent
- mindful of everything around her
- not afraid to go after what she wants
- like an open-book - her joy can be seen in her eyes, as can her sadness or fear or vulnerability
- graceful and agile
- proud, yet respectful
- blessed with the smoothest, most beautiful striped blue skin I ever saw ;)
- etc.

She is, to us.. The very definition of the unattainable perfection.
She is at peace with herself. Humble in her skills and talents, but confident in everything she does.
But she isn't "perfect" per se.. She has flaws...
Ney is aware of her strengths and weaknesses but does not hide them nor exaggerate them. This is something extremely rare in most all people... Yet something many put a lot of value in, whether they realize it or not.
She is, as is.
The awareness without the self-conscious checking to hide such flaws is what makes her so impossibly close to perfection.
And this is just one of the many, if not infinite reasons why (for this thread) she's so hot.
One of the many features of her devastating, awe-inspiring, soul-melting beauty.
Why I'm captivated, smitten and happily falling in love with our dear Neytiri.

Do we really need to ask a question like that. All I can say is "Just look at her" A picture is worth a thousand words. Don't get me wrong... I know we are attempting to look deeper than the exterior beauty here....I get that. But I say just one look at her says it all. In my opinion, the word "beautiful" is too weak to describe her. My vocabulary is too feeble to articulate what I see in this picture, so I'm not even going to try. This shot of her absolutely paralyzes my intellect. She is unspeakable. How can I put her into words? The English language falls prostrate before her. If all the languages and dialects of this world joined in alliance for the sole purpose of framing the articulation of what my eyes embrace in her, it would be an exercise in futility....Hot???....Hot?? Although we bestow that honer upon her as a high complement in our language ( and I agree with it in spirit), to represent her with such terminology is at best, Blasphemy. But that's just my personal conviction. We can still be forum brothers.;) I hope.9951

Does that make sense?
