Pocahontas - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pocahontas) Good thing John Smith can't sue Cameron because he's been dead for more than 4 centuries.

I'm sorry but, unless Pocahontas was anywhere near as hot as Neytiri, John Smith wouldn't stand a chance.

Taking something and making it better isn't plagurization, lol.

Funny how a quick search on google only brings up news articles about this guy... No link to where one might read the story, if it exists...

Have you read any of my threads before they closed them? And saying Avatar's better than Pocahontas because Neytiri is sexier than Pocahontas... Bravo, I say! Bravo!

Zhou Shaomou wrote the book and published it in 1997. James Cameron wrote the script for Avatar in 1995. This guy needs to do some research before he starts suing people.

Nobody here said Avatar was better simply because Neytiri is sexier than Pocahontas. If you're referring to robertwalters's post, he simply implied Neytiri is hotter than Pocahontas, nothing more.

Jim came up with the idea for Avatar in like 1995 but had to put it on hold until the technology could up with his vision of a 3D world with actors performing as CG characters. Who is this guy claiming to be suing James? Stupid guy!

Well, the Disney film ends with Pocahontas going back to England with Smith. Not exactly what Jake chose!

The actual historical story of Pocahontas and John Smith is, of course, a lot messier. NOVA | Pocahontas Revealed | John Smith's Bold Endeavor | PBS (http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/pocahontas/silverman.html)

Ah, films, they have a way of simplifying and condensing things.
