"I'm so glad we killed him off in the end of the film... but as a science-fiction writer, I might find a way to bring him back."

I read that as more of a casual "you never know" type comment than any actual plan of doing so. James Cameron is known for just throwing things out there to keep people guessing.

Don't worry, even if Quaritch came back, this is James Cameron:ncool:, this is sure he will make that ****ing good. He is the man, he will know what he do.

WHAT THE FRIGGIN' HELL?!

I thought Cameron was smart. I thought he was sensible. I thought he knew how to write a wonderful story/plot.

Am I wrong? Was I wrong this whole damned time? Please, dear Lord let him be joking.

God damed!!! don't have doubt at the best realizer, scenario writer and producer ever, ok. First this is just a rumour and even it's not, Cameron will make this Idea so ****ing good and sure of that.

I think Quaritch might have used physical force to secure his role in the sequel.

If this is one hell of a film that breaks all expectations and is twice as good as the first WHILE having Quaritch return, I might say "good job".

I wouldn't mind Quaritch back, he's a good character and a great bad guy, somebody that wont be defeated so easily, its just the way JC brings him back is what concerns me. I dont how he'll do it without the movie becoming unbelievable (unbelievable in a bad way).

Hell...he let humans remotely control alien bodies. what can't he do?

I don't know I let this part to Jim. but maybe Quaritch in an Avatar body, that can be power full!.

Maybe they will get Quaritch's brain put it in a cyborg body and then have the cyborg try to terminate the Na'vi.

I think it would be great. What with Grace coming back (in a way). It would fit in well with the rest of the Avatar Universe.

The more I think about it the more I could see Quaritch coming back. Except he couldn't be the main protagonist. The only thing more dangerous than an out of control madman like Quaritch is a cold, calculating corporate power; willing and capable to do anything in the pursuit of money and control.

JC said this on Inside the Actors Studio - mainly, I think, because Stephan Lang was there and he was praising his abilities.

Quaritch is part of the balance of things.

Jake and Neytiri have signed the contracts for the sequels, but Quaritch hasn't. So there you go.

I would love to see Quaritch come back, but it must be done in a way that is not ludicrous. How do you bring back a guy whose heart has been pierced by two large poisoned arrows?

Quarictch can come back to life and just to be Quaritch'ed again

He said it in a interview on television, I can't get you a direct link. However I can swear that he said that... Some people on IRC can confirm this.

It doesn't mean Quaritch is definitely coming back, just means JC is considering it.

Quaritch personally, was the most interesting character played brilliantly. The threat, the balance and hero. No colonel, no ticket

I hope he stays dead. I loved his acting, but to bring him back. That would just fail. You know you would still buy a ticket MilesQuaritch :D

There's an "Avatar 2" forum for a reason...

He'll probably put a new villain in, along with Colonel. I'm fine with that, so long as they kick Colonel's arse. But I agree, James Cameron will do something freaking great with it. Whoever it might be. I just hope he really does make a sequel. Sometimes I hear that he's not, sometimes I do. It's weird.

> TBH, I wouldn't mind having him back as an antagonist. His character was very interesting. Problem is, his character doesn't have much to be explored now. Although it was somewhat deep, it has been fully explored. If JC manages to bring him back, he'll need to show a new and never seen facette of Quaritch, which WILL be a challenge.

When he says he might find a way to bring him back, that could mean anything... It could mean delving into the past through some kind of flash back and simply seeing him in a scene. He doesn't even need dialogue. It could be quick like that and we'd still get a new interesting villain ;) Brought back to life though? No...please no.

I could see it, if Quaritch got absorbed into Eywa, met Grace there, and killed (or subdued/absorbed) her then stole her avatar and pretended to be her returned from Eywa. The ultimate double agent. Glad I said it here first so it won't really happen :D
