You remember the part where Jake first enters his avatar body, right? He runs around a while then Grace comes in her own avatar and upon seeing her Jake gives a DAMN! I wonder why he uses such exclamation: is it because he is just surprised to see her or (my opinion) also because he finds her to be attractive. While watching the movie I got the feeling that Jake says that because he is surprised how fit and attractive Grace looks in her avatar body. What do you think?

I think the same. Grace`s avatar was looking very attractive.

I thought it was because he found her attractive, and for a very split second, he didn't know who she was. He says, "Grace?" like he's shocked or he's not sure it's her and needs clarification. Or it's like "Grace?!" as in, daaaamn I didn't know you could look so fiiine.:nlol:

It might be as much surprise as anything else, I don't think it's mentioned before that point to Jake that Grace has an Avatar - he knows she runs the show but I'm not sure how much more (feel free to prove me wrong, it's been a while since I saw the film) & she's easily recognisable as being her just in Avatar form + the fact she's being nice to him - upto that point she's only given him a hard time & yea on top of all that she looks pretty hot in Avatar form.

It actually makes perfect sense for Grace's avatar to be a lot younger than Grace herself. New avatars are always the same age (just physically matured) when they arrive on Pandora, so the older the driver is at this time, the younger the avatar will be in relation to the driver. Since Grace is the head of the avatar program, she was probably quite a bit older than most of the other avatar drivers would be when she arrived on Pandora.

i think so, that as an avatar she is attractive, and just the shock of seeing someone he knows in their Avatar form for the first time.
