Hello :)

I was just thinking, since we're just plain ole humans and can't really be Na'vi, if you were to be given the chance to be part of "The People", what would your avatar name be if you could choose a new one? What would it mean?

I'm not sure what mine would be ... hmmm

My name would be Jeff_Goldbloo_Kitteh1995. Cause, come on. It catches the spirit of Avatar, and it is just plain awesome.

oh how i know what you mean :(

someone should make a virtual device so that people could at least pretend to live on Pandora ... i'd settle for that lol

excellent names everyone ... now how do you translate that into the Na'vi language?? hehe

I don't know... it's pretty hard to come up with a good-sounding name out of the blue like this...

Ahimsa
01-03-2010, 07:18 PM
I would choose "Ahimsa". It means "non-violence" in Sanskrit and it refers to respecting and not harming living things. You can tell that Neytiri tries her best to practice it, and it is a part of Na'vi culture. Also, it is the name of my pet rat.

I don't know if this is actually accurate or not, but I just made up a name that I personally sort of like: Txe'lanta, it means "from the heart".

So basically, if you put a bunch of Na'vi in a specific order and pronounce their names they can tell a story? Aaawkward!

I don't understand. How is this awkward?? Am I missing something...

yeah, what if the guy who's name means "I like to do stuff that is" right next to the guy who's name means " (insert nasty comment here)" :D It would be awkward!

Jay

Oh yeah, and I would have to go with Jay, (maybe "flying animal" in Na'vi?)

It's not really possible to come up with one on the spot. Does Neytiri mean anything? Does Tsu'tey mean anything? They probably have some sort of deeper meaning. If they do i'd like to know

i don't think their names mean anything, hell i made mine up just looking at some phonetics

uniltėrantokx

I would call myself Rim Pxuntil, or yellow elbow.

their names may not have meanings, but this is just for fun. it's what you'd like to have your name mean if you were a na'vi :)

Kxanė Kato

Well my name does in fact mean something in Na'vi. Forbidden Rhythm. I love music, thought it suited me :)

Kilvan
01-06-2010, 02:11 AM
Kilvan is Na'vi for River (hence the river scene in the sig).

I liked it, so I went with it. :)

Kiyevami
01-06-2010, 11:28 AM
Kiyevami means: "We'll meet again" :)

Hmm, very nice! The word even aesthetically appears to be 'serene', similar to the scene in your signature.

Jasiri

RDA Mercenary, It just captures the soul of the RDA just a lot of money to hire highly trained marines to its ranks. Yeah that's it.

hmm, good question... im not sure, but if I had to go with a general theme,

I would want to be some kind of wanderer (not like in a crazy sense, more spiritual)

Gurnblansten

Keye'ung
01-17-2010, 03:11 AM
Keye'ung means insanity in Na'vi

ZenithLord_42
01-23-2010, 02:11 PM
Mine would simply be Zenith. Don't ask I don't know why. Maybe I do, it was something about being at the top a tree no one else could climb, and I like the way it sounds, so it just kind of fits.

Tsmúktu
01-23-2010, 02:43 PM
Tsmuktu is the word for "sibling" in Na'vi.

I figured that everyone here is technically my brother or sister seeing that we're all connected to Eywa (Earth).

Fkeu'itan

My name means "Mighty Son" partly because i have the belief that everybody is capable of great things...

...partly because i'm a bit on the chunky side. :nsmile:

Well, you have to remember that the only human to ever become a Na’vi is still called ‘Jakesully’.

Neytiri♥
02-03-2010, 05:53 AM
Meuia - it means 'Honor' in Na'vi
