I recently thought about Jake's Ikran. I wonder what happened to hit once he was "Ditched" by Jake.
Did he just go back to where he came, or did he go and find a quiet place to sob gently :,(
I'd like to think he hangs around near Jake unseen and quietly torments Turok while Jake isnt looking :nlol:

well he is still atached to jake because he will never be able to bond with another person, i mean Na'vi

I imagine he'll return to Jake in the sequel :)
After all, they are bonded for life and an ikran can only bond with one Na'vi in its whole life.

Well at the end, Toruk is "no longer needed" so i'm assuming Toruk will be free to roam and Jake will go back to using his normal Ikran.

My guess is he told his ikran to go to the Tree of Souls and wait there for him.
And it was patient and it waited until he didn't need to be Toruk Makto anymore.
And then he must have called it or it came back to him and that's the end of the story.

He let Toruk go...He still has his Ikran...:)
I could imagine in Jakes head the moment he let Toruk go..
"Damn...I should have kept him"
Hope to see more of Toruk or Jakes Ikran in Avatar 2!

The question is if Toruk has the same bonding as a ikran---I would guess that as a Alpha hunter, Toruk is more independent---so bonding would be a more one to one--equals. It would be very interesting to see if Jake can "call" Toruk back if needed.

Im sure he still rides his original ikran, because toruk left after the "time of great sorrow" ended
I imagine he'll return to Jake in the sequel :)

I guess it returned after the Toruk left. Ikran bond with their rider for life.

Doing daily chores or hunting with a toruk will be no fun for the rider as great strength and precision would be used every time in riding and it would become too much cumbersome in the end. Thats why toruk was 'released' after the time of great sorrow ended

How does his toruk know if he's released? I think if he calls his toruk, he will always come back. After all he tamed it and its his toruk.

When you queue's are attached I am sure Jake told him to be free....
