I love mountain climbing, hiking anything related to this great sport.
Post here about why you enjoy it and also post about the highest mountain you have been so far :)
-----------
I love this sport because of the mountain fresh air,the incredible view and by far because it is so peaceful. Its just the best experience when you sit on a rock on the top of the mountain after climbing for many straight hours, you look around seeing no signs of civilization, the wind is blowing in your face and the sun is shinning, ah nature :D
Highest mountain iv been on was at: "2864 m" called "Triglav".

Now I know that's not that much but it is the highest peak in my country and we have a lot of mountains(Julian Alps wuhu). I am dam proud on Triglav, it really is an awesome exp to visit it.
heh, Live in england, so on mountain side of things =/
I have climbed snowdon, and the cairngorm, quite a few mountains there. Snowdon is ermmm 1088m, and cairngorm is slightly higher than that.
I would really like to try a proper mountain, like mont blanc or something; would be fun.

Hi Mr,
I've done heaps and heaps of rock climbing, some new area (Cyprus) develop't too (trad style)....been away from it for the last 6 years due to Triathlon interests. Getting back into it again, I love the 'Gaia' aspect to it all. Have climbed in Yosemite Nat. Park.... massive :)

I've never been into technical climbing, but I am a bit of what is known as a "peak freak." I'll do up to a class 3 scramble. I have several friends who do technical climbing up to about 5.10, but that is not for me. I have been to the top of Mount_Whitney (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Whitney) at 14,505 feet (4421m). That is the highest peak in the continental United States. It has a fairly mild trail that while 10.5 miles long (17km) is relatively easy. This is part of the Sierra Nevada range in California. This includes several National Parks like Yosemite that Tu'te mentioned above. There are are almost endless peaks to summit there.
I get altitude sickness if I stay long above about 11,500 feet (3500m) so I have to go up and come back down in the same day. Even so I think I've been to the top of at least 50 peaks above 13,000 feet (4000m).
I love being at the top of peaks like these. It's a wonderful experience.

I like the mountains, I am going to the Swiss alps often, to go skitouring. My highest mountain I climbed just 10 days ago, the Finsteraarhorn (4275m).
