If you had to choose between being a rich famous celebrity who had everything but would never find true happiness due to the corruption and greed of modern day society
Or
Be very poor and have just enough to get by but be truly happy due to a simplistic life style and a beautiful view of life and its blessings.
What would you choose?
Personally I’d rather be poor and truly happy.

a rich celebrity.. while having a bit of money is quite nice.. No, i dont think that kind of persons have a great life. Always hunted by the press..
It is really better to live without anything but instead of being free, i would choose that too.

Well, it's really a hard decision to make. Of course with money there are endless possibilities and a great life. But in the end, I think happiness is all that matters.
So, I guess I'd choose money, even though if I have a sad and empty life, I'd choose it just to ensure that my childs have a good life.

i would rather be poor and happy.. that is actually what i am anyway :) i wouldn't want to be rich.. if i ever did win money, i would give alot of it to charity and just have enough to get out of the awful city im living in.. i wanna live more in the country :) but yeah., its true.. the more people have money, the more it gets to their heads.. and its wrong :(

Poor and happy, no question about it.
Our mind is all that we really have, so I would rather be poor.

Extremes are always wrong options, no matter how one looks them.
Poor and happy is a somewhat contradicting pair, because in today society, you need money in order to retain at least decent living conditions. A place to live and stay warm during cold seasons, food and some minor entertainment to keep ones sanity intact.
If I were some rich publicity person, at least I would have the money to pursue almost whatever I would find interesting, whereas without money, one can't really do all that much, so how can one be happy whilst being poor?
I guess it's all relative how you define poor or rich, but in the end, I always like to be somewhere in between.
"But I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly because you tread on my dreams."

What else do you need but happyness? No matter if you are poor, rich, average, "media zombie", a wise man - as long as you are happy, those all are good.
Answering your question .I wouldnt choose any of those (poor and happy - two total oposites). Being poor wouldnt provide me with a lot of things (as stated above), and being rich and blind - thats not an option either.
Personaly, i'd want to have enough money to be able to travel once in a while, to buy music related stuff (some guitars and equipment) and not to count every cent while shoping for food. I wouldnt consider this rich (more poor i guess).

poor and happy. When you have something, you think you need it, but when you lose it, you realize you will just make do without it. Like my microwave, its been 10months since ours broke, and I haven't died yet. I aint goin hungry either.
