Community Fan Fiction Project *OVER*

Well, this is the first community project ever, so stay with me! :)

I had this idea and shared it with nzk0 and other members of the forums, and they all think we should do it, hope you will all participate!

The project is to get members of the community to write some fan fictions, and after about a weeks time we are going to compile all the fan fictions collected into one ebook available for download on the forums in PDF format.

Anyone can participate and write a fan fiction for the ebook! Its strongly encouraged! Me and nzk0 will be compiling and formatting the finished product once all of your submissions are in!

Deadline is: January the 9th, 2010! (Next week) Get your stories in by then!

Rules and General Information

- Use proper grammar, use spell checking software and try to make it as tidy as possible.

- You can write about ANYTHING in the Avatar universe, human or Na'vi, or both! :)

- Has to be of decent length, at least a page long. (Considering your writing in MS Word or Open Office.) Using the font Calibri (Body) at size 11.

- Keep vulgar language/inappropriate content to a minimum.

- Try to avoid using main characters from the movie. Making up your own Na'vi or other characters are preferred so that nothing interferes with the movie.

- Could take place on Pandora or its surrounding moons/planet. (Or even Earth)

- Should be typed out in either Microsoft Word, or Open Office. If you don't have Microsoft Word, you can get Open Office for free here (http://www.openoffice.org/).

- Should, of course, not be offensive to anyone.

- Do whatever you think is right. :) Its your story, after all.

Signing Up

Just post a reply below telling us that you are doing a fan fiction so we know how many to expect coming in! Also, once you know what your fan fiction will be called please post the title of it too so we get a general idea what it is about!

Submitting Fan Fiction

Once your sure that your fan fiction checks out, you can submit it to us by uploading the file to 2shared (http://2shared.com/) and then sending the URL of the download file page through the contact (http://www.avatar-forums.com/sendmessage.php) page.

Be sure to include the title of the short story and the author name you would like to be credited under, as well as any other information you find necessary.

Why not, Twilight is the worlds largest fan fic. The writing quality is about as good as an average fan-fic, as are the characters. Except that is the author channeling her desire to live in an odd gothic vampire fantasy.

Alright, I'll probably have to make a new one, because like I said I was writing one before the movie came out, just going off of what I saw in one picture, and I didn't want to research the movie so I wouldn't spoil it for myself, so a LOT of things are different, like its modern day, so I'll create a new one... thats okay I can make it work :P

You never know until you try man. Just start rambling and before you know it you got a story. Hell I did lol. Never written any story (maybe some cheesy story in elementary school or something) and doing so is hella fun specially when its about something you like. Just let your mind go free dude. :P

PANDORA (the lush rainforest)
It felt like rebirth, a hissing mechanical sound droned, he was in a coffin despatched into the artificial light on the interior of a cryo chamber shuttle, his eyes adjusted to the blinding intense light that shrouded him, his body felt stiff, like he had not used it before.
Bodies floated around him like leaves lost in the wind, malnourished figures attempted to find a source of exit and clung to each other like the division of singular cells spiralling into an abyss. Ryder was detached from his birthing chamber, sound was mute around him, he was born again.

Title: Pandorian bedtime stories

Got the idea from when Jake in the beginning of the movie saying "Pandora you grew up hearing about it" or something like that.

all i can say is it would be an intersesting story if nityiri started a talking about a old pandora war like the one that they mentioned in the movie and she couldent finish tho story because some thing kept interupting the story.... im starting to git ideas

A segment from my unfinished fan fiction that will be entered for the community project


He was clad in military uniform brandished in digital camouflage, an exo pack was fastened upon his face, his senses began to adjust due to lack of maintenance, he should not be here.
Ryder emerged from the shuttle, an amplified mobility platform lunged over him, its robotic legs plunging into gravel forming a mound in the ground, its churning mechanics hummed in his ears, its durability was magnificent to behold, the movement more human like than his own as he escaped the confinement of the shuttle, hissing as its hydraulics exercised in the dense polluted atmosphere the mech represented his purpose, the annihilation of indigenous planetary threats. The lush eden he had heard so much about was absent, the steely military figures bleached from the pandoran sun marched out of their metallic shells, they carried weapons like limbs, so tightly clutched unable to break free, they were escorted to the heart of the compound for briefing, military transportation flashed past them gleaming in the alpha sun. Ryder followed the cause, but was halted on his continuation to base, a military man bound in uniform scrutinised him, his breathe under the oxygen mask fogged up his features “I’m going to be your daddy.”

Maybe on a future community project we could do something like a collaboration between both writers and artists. Like have the writers come up with a story and then the artists could illustrate characters and scenes from that story.

Just a thought.

Ahhhh! I'm tripping out haha I'm a movie writer, screenwriter, whatever name you choose, and what I've got for this is the best work I have written in months! I'm super proud of it! I'm just concerned about the time haha its okay, I've cranked out a 50 page story in two days I think I'll be okay I cannot wait to turn it in and see everyone else's!

Hmm just noticed this, I have tought about a story for the avatar universe but I don't really want to show it yet since it is still in infancy. My main idea was to make a comic out of it which is the reason on why it is being written in comic book format.
