This and Survivorman are two of my favorite shows. I was actually motivated enough to go out and buy a pair of Bear's trousers even though I haven't even used them yet. The tags are even still on and this was from 2 years ago haha, oi.

One thing about the show that's really affected my general perspective is whenever Bear is about to eat or do something really disgusting he says that its important to leave behind your prejudged notions and prejudices behind whenever you're somewhere new and be open to new things. Although Bear says that when he's eating bugs, I've applied that saying to my life in general and I gotta say its definitely worked out for the better. :bye:

Love the show! Bear is so badass! Course you have to be with a name like that! One thing is he really shows how much you would have to know to survive out in the world.

I LOVE Man vs Wild and Surviorman, those guys are my heroes and have inspired me greatly. I'm seriously considering enrolling in a survivor school to get certified to teach survivor skill courses.

That guy is Crap, he shows you things that are likely to get you killed!!! yea that is real smart to squeeze the juice from elephant crap directly into your mouth for water! hello ecoli, and intestinal parasites, and othe diseases associated with fecal matter! dont forget to eat raw zebra meat saying that it is safe and then spend the next 10 minutes puking. lets not forget the classic: drink straight from a pond in the rainforrest that is coverd in green algae, and spend all night with diarreha! he is so smart!

Man Vs. Wild is a cool show. The next episode is going to be in North Africa, that should be cool.

I wonder if Bear Grylls should do a Man vs. Wild.... On Pandora! That would be an awesome episode!

Bear grylls can be an idiot sometimes
the locales are great to see but i take what grylls says with a grain of salt,
he eats mostly everything raw, fair enough it is faster without cooking a fire
but fire cooks things, gets rid of parasites and enables that you digest it quicker which means that you get energy faster
which is the point of his charade-to get out of the wild as fast as he can.
(not really positive is it?-man vs wild)
it could be man in wild

well imo what he is showing is a worse case scenario for people. You are somewhere and cant make a fire so you have to know what you can eat raw and not die, and which parts are healthy and good for you.

lol he eats whole snakes and crabs (which you DO NOT eat raw-it makes you vomit), but i do like that ember creating tool he carries around his neck

Ive seen him do the snake but I saw one he said NOT to eat crab raw?

You mean the flint? Yeah that is definitely easier than a trying to rub sticks together :rotfl:

I like Bear's show but I dig Les Stroud's show alot more because he's been spending time with the indigenous tribes, which remind me of Avatar. :)

Yea, beyond survival reminds me a bit more of avatar than man vs wild. Yet, man vs wild, survivorman, and beyond survival get five stars from me. I also must say that bears other shor Worst Case Scenario is also really good, alongside dual survival.

I do not like it. He shows you dangerous things that you would not do in a survival situation. Lets climb down a waterfall using this vine that we hope doesn't snap? Really?

I liked Survivorman a whole lot more. He did realistic things.

Definitely my favourite :) simply because it aint no show, it's the truth, living like a Na'vi, by yourself, us humans can be amazing, if we want, my objective is to be like the amazing Bear Grylls :) Ill get there one day ^_^

Ye Palulukan :) Still thank you very very much, i really enjoyed watching it, especially the papua New Guinea episode, shows how incredibly hard it is for a normal human to just show up in such a beautiful rainforest from the outside, but hell if you ain't got water and food...and survive like a native, like a Na'vi... Gotta really know what you're doing, which is hard since we mainly know how to do things on keyboards and ps3 controllers nowadays... anyhow, still i love Bear grylls, he is an expert and knows everything about wildlife, yet maybe he doesnt really do it all the way, but I don't blame him ^_^ I see you Palulukan :)

The problem with Bear Grylls is he is teaching people bad ideas. Very few of the things in his episodes is something you would actually want to do. He is good for entertainment but if any of these people actually get into a survival situation and try doing what he does they are going to die or get seriously hurt. That is what I am worried about.

Saw bear in Panama yesterday, one of the best episodes :) When he meets the Ember, the natives that live in that forest, it's amazing, they're so much like the Na'vi, they're friendly, happy, and just hunt, spend time together, it was very nice to see them :) Only difference is the height, all the native's on Earth seem to be so short ^_^ I'm tall, and I always reckoned it's helpful to be bigger, to run faster, longer arms to climb and swim, or whatever, it's something inetersting I'd like to know, why are natives generally small ^_^
