Found a blog that lists many many pictures of props for different movies from different locations. And for those damned critics who think nothing but mostly computer work was put into making the film...

THINK AGAIN!

At the Cinerama Dome in Hollywood there's a display room of all the different props used for the film, on set in the mo-cap studios. Here's the link. (http://hollywoodmoviecostumesandprops.blogspot.com/search/label/Avatar) Any thoughts about the props used? For instance, I can't think of where "Jake's Headdress" was found in the film.

Nice link.

I can't think of where "Jake's Headdress" was found in the film.
The one he was wearing as clan leader when the sky people were leaving perhaps? Can't quite remember.

It was woven into his hair I believe during the final battle.

I was tempted to try and make some of the jewelry from the film before, now I REALLY want to.

Wow, very cool stuff. I wonder why they made practicals of so much of the CG stuff? Maybe they scanned it to use on the CG characters?

I discovered the deviantart page of one of the prop makers, check it out! http://www.avatar-forums.com/production-technology/3363-props-avatar.html

Ah.... Yeah, you can barely see it behind his hair, but yeah. I see it. Thanks! :)

Grr! Now I feel so stupid for making this topic when I could've just posted the link on that one. I tried looking for any other topic about props beforehand but I didn't catch any.

But thanks for the link! :)

Omg, that's kind of freaky, like the people who wore them would have actually been real! I would love to see things like the boots, to see the size comparison. Thanks for posting!

The actors did where them they are all human sized just along with the rest of them being CGI'd so to were they. At least that's my guess.

Here's an article (http://www.stuff.co.nz/nelson-mail/news/3217970/WOW-factor-gets-artist-into-Avatar) about one of the costumes and props designers :) !

excerpt :

"She designed and made Na'vi weapons, accessories and clothing and made textures and samples for the digital artists to replicate. "They can see how it moves and looks in real life, and that makes it easier for them to create it onscreen," she said."
