I honestly can't decide... Grace/Quaritch, then Trudy/Norm. The list takes an incredible drop down to the guy who yells out "Get Some!"

Grace...well Grace is who she is. She's the one who displays the emotions of the audience on the screen (at least in my case). Quaritch is tied because he is simply that badass. Trudy and Norm are tied, partly because they are lovers, partly because I felt that they could have a lot going on the screen if they were given more time. And the guy who shouts "Get Some!" just annoys me, because he seemed to be as bloodthirsty and trigger happy as Quaritch, but didn't have that level of badass, or villainy.

Norm is fantastic. When an anthropologist jumps on a Dire Horse in Avatar form and runs at the enemy guns blazing, you gotta love it.

I love the transformation he goes through, almost Clark Kent style from anally retentive scientist to a freedom fighter by the film's end.

Grace and Trudy. Grace knew the Na'vi and Pandora better than anyone. Trudy helped the Na'vi without even any contact with them, fighting against her own people.
I like Norm and Max too, they are both good characters in their own ways.

Hmm, a flicker of hope you say? I did think that I saw a bit of remorse when he was watching Hometree go up in flames, but he was just so mean! Like how he treats Grace through the whole movie! ("what have you guys been smoking?). But I suppose that he was a good bad guy.

Grace (second. will be first if Jake does not count >_>).

I didnt like how she acted at Jake at first, but she definetely grew on me. Since I am strongly supporting the Na'vi's, Grace, even though she claims herself as a scientist and doesn't believe in "fairytales", it is clearly shown that she respects the Na'vi, she seems to be happier alot more in Pandora, her 'biological network' quote just made me love her even more, her bond with the Na'vi was sweet, she knew what the right thing to do is even though she isn't an official 'clan member' like Jake is. I felt so sad when she died, i'm going to definetely miss her, i'm pretty sure Mo'at, Grace and other clan members will too, since she was the one who taught her English and opened schools for them.

Trudy is second because she's just BA, even if she loves guns and military stuff, the way her Samson was painted, the way she said "Screw this. I didn't sign up for this sh*t!" quote was indicating that she did not have the full intention to do damage to the Na'vi, and even kind of 'supported' the Na'vi in a way she was shooting towards not the Na'vi but the 'sky people'. I love her attitude and I also did feel bad when she died :<

Quaritch, I personally don't like him as what he did to the Na'vi's and his attitude towards them; what I do like about him though is his strong will to continue his duty, his passion in what he does; and that's admirable, but Stephen did pull of Quaritch well, so, thumbs up for Stephen playing a great villain.

But my first will always be Jake (I know I know but he 'used' to be a sky people anyway because at that time he could not 'See' >_>)

Grace, hands down. She made me laugh (too many one-liners to mention), shiver (speech to Selfridge about Pandora's wealth) and cry (death scene). Second place goes to Tom, Jake's brother. We've got no idea what he was even like, but he still inadvertently saved his brother's life.

Would've said Jake, but he was always a Na'vi at heart.
