I see threads with cool opening scenes, and faint speculation.
IMO, as it will likely be a trilogy, the best ending scene should be this -
Jake, of course, as a Na'Vi, exhausted from a battle. He has wounds all over - the humans were defeated a second time, only this time, it was far more taxing, and without Eywa assisting, far more horrible. He is kneeling over.
Then, from behind him, an AMP suit rises from the ground, as if it had been buried alive. It rises, knife in hand. Jake turns. The knife connects with Jake's stomach.
Cut to credits.
Why this?
I think humans will come back. I think other moons may be explored, but if they follow the rules of trilogies - that the second is the darkest - the end it with something that leaves you guessing.
