I could very well be doing something wrong - fairly new to forums and all, however I'm not receiving email notices of responses to threads I make or comment it. This should be activated - it appears it is.

Can anyone please shed some light? There's some good stuff going on that I don't want to miss...

Vielen dank!

Which sort of e-mail notification did you select? Instant, daily, or weekly? Also, make sure the threads you want notification on are set to the type of notification you want- go to User CP--> List Subscriptions--> check the boxes of the threads you want to be notified of and select the notification type in the drop box.

Also, make sure that your default notification type is set: User CP--> Edit Options--> Default Thread Subscription Mode. This way, all future threads you reply in, you will be notified in the manner you chose and you won't have to worry about it in the future.

Try checking your junk folder as well- simple but often overlooked. ;)

I hope I didn't confuse you- if you want, I can post screenshots to make it clearer for you.

Thank you but no, I won't need screenshots. I will attempt what you've provided below. In the interim, I've found a functional workaround (quick links -> subscribed threads) where I can keep tabs on the conversations.

I appreciate your swift response to this - reflects very nicely on the administrative team for this site.

Good job, and thanks again!

Well, I'm not a part of the administrative team, just an experienced forum user who is happy to help. But rest assured, without them none of this would be possible. You are welcome nonetheless!

Yes, definitely check the status of how often you want notifications sent to you.

Yeah, double checked everything this morning. It's in good order. I'll use my workaround for the time being - perhaps there's an issue with hotmail? Who knows. I'll try putting in Gmail and seeing about that.

Just changed it to Gmail and BOOM. Had a notification in about 5 seconds. Pretty swift!

Perhaps there is something going on with Hotmail? Can this be investigated and the users made aware so they can adjust accordingly?

Hotmail, AOL, and I think Yahoo are all known for blocking vBulletin activation emails with their spam filters- I think that's the issue here.
