What Would You Do On Earth Before Leaving For Pandora?

You have one month before you warp off to Pandora forever - what would you want to do on Earth before you leave it for good?

I would give my whole family one last visit - even far off relatives that I have never met, yet. Would also be a good opportunity to sight see for one last time.

I spend time with my family, then maybe go eat all my favorite foods I couldn't eat on Pandora, and watch all my favorite movies before I left, spend time in the mountains and soak up Earth's beauty that I wouldn't see again. After that, I'd be counting the seconds till I leave.

See my family, go out plenty of times with my friends and get drunk and have a good time to remember. Take lots of pictures, visit places I want to remember. Watch my favourite films and TV, eat human food, say bye to all my friends on the internet.

5. Enjoy some of the foods and drinks I will never again be able to because I'm on another planet. I'd probably start with what I mentioned in the favorite food thread.
6. Decide who to give all of my stuff away to. If I'm going to be an Avatar/Na'vi on Pandora, or even just a human on Pandora, I don't think I'm going to be needing my laptop, HDTV or X-Box 360 anymore.
7. Bring a homeless person or family to a restaurant and tell them to order whatever they want.
8. Brag a little.
9. Go clubbing.
10. Take a two day vacation. Either to Orlando theme parks or if I could afford it, the Atlantis hotel in the Bahamas.
11. Say goodbye to my friends and family.

And then sleep for five years and nine months. :cool:

That is the best way to go to Pandora. Like you, I'd go only if I had an avatar, then I would go to the Tree Of Souls to make it permanent.

I would visit many different places on earth like the amazon, since I would never get a chance to see them after I left. I would also make sure I had an avatar to use once I got there, even if I had to live on pandora as an avatar driver, never becoming Na'vi completely, it would definitely be better than living there as a human.

Well, all the normal stuff, like visit family and hang out with friends. Go sight seeing, visit some role models (if possible), stare at our own moon, etc. And learn how to use a bow and arrow. And watch TV, and spend my time on the internet (it'll be the last time you'll ever use them!)

And I would do a whole lot of other things, but I just can't think of anything right now.

I'd spend a lot of time with my family and friends. I'd do my best to see places like Arizona (hot, dry desert) that Pandora doesn't have. I'd look at the moon. I'd just generally try to enjoy everything that is special about our planet, like breathing the air outside without a mask on. I'd also try to enjoy the technology here while I could. And, of course, I'd make sure there was an avatar waiting for me aboard the ship. Finally, I'd take some serious survival and archery courses. As Quaritch says, "That was some mean bush. Nothing like this here though." I wouldn't want to come back to Earth. It'd just be too emotional of a reunion for a place that I only intended to stay on temporarily. I would have to give as much as I could to my life on Pandora to justify leaving my family behind and casuing them that sort of pain. It would be hard to leave Earth, but there would be so much waiting at the other end.

I would visit my friends who live around the country, than fly to New Zealand to talk with my last one. I would visit my deceased love ones for the last time. I would get a few sketch books. Than I would be off with my new life; if I knew I could be a Na'vi. If not a Na'vi, I would die in a few days of being there.

Ultimately, I would leave for Pandora if all my options are extingushed; I would take a chance with the Na'vi people. Having nothing to occupy my mind, I'll follow their training with ambition and will enjoy a new lifestyle.

Quit my Job, and switch my college classes to audit first.

Arrange a get together with my family and what few friends i have and throw a crazy party- we are talking something with a live band, laser show and all the good spirits you want. Give away my stuff, anything not wanted, give as donations to all sorts of charities. Take a random dirt poor families to the theater to watch Avatar. Give gift cards to nicer restaurants to homeless people. Take as many people as I can to Ragani's kirtan. Give the message of Eywa to every one I can before i go. Learn Na'vi. Go on a primitive camp out to brush up on my bushcraft skills.

Just before I ship off send a letter to the IRS to BURN IN HE!!

The way I see it, it's basically one month to live. After that one month, everything that you know of, the sights you've seen, the people you hung out with...all of that will be gone. Your identity on Earth will essentially be dead. By moving to Pandora, you will be reborn; unless you're working in the labs in Pandora, your life will be completely different.

So I would take the time to say bye to family and friends, sell my possessions and give it to the poor, learn how to hunt, etc.
