Avatar in comics

I reckon it would be great to see a comic adaption of Avatar. It would have to be approved by James Cameron though, and an ongoing filler series would be good as well to help pass the time inbetween movies.
I'd prefer Darkhorse comics to take it on but any is better than none.
If that couldn't happen then some novels would be nice. It's just that I'd prefer the visual.

Peter I have thought the same thing for a long time, honestly I'm surprised it hasn't happened yet. Maybe after the novel comes out we will see some comics. I hope something like this happens so that way when the final movie ends we will still have new things going on in Pandora to keep up on. Star Wars pulled it off for years.

i have read tons of Darkhorse comics based on movies like Terminator,Predator,Aliens,Indy Jones,Star Wars,and they would do a great job with JC's Avatar,as Fko said earlier. we definitely need something to help pass the next three years....

I would love to see a comic series of Avatar, or some Avatar related stories. Or maybe both.

I think Dark Horse would be the best outlet for this, since they've done a lot of movie related franchises like Star Wars, Predator, and Aliens. Avatar shouldn't be too much of a leap for them.

I am not familiar with any dark horse comics, but I'd totally trust your guys opinion on them. I wonder if we havent seen anything because he doesnt want anyone else adding to his story yet or not.
