What I mean is...What part of the movie really messed with you head, like a specific scene. I know for me, it was when Jake and Neytiri were alone and the line the really messed with my head was "We are mated for life."

NO idea why it messed with me, but it did.

What about u guys?

Definitely, no other scene even came close to the emotion portrayed in that scene, powerful stuff.

For me, either Eytukan's death and the destruction of Hometree or Jake and Neytiri's mating. Just too perfect for words. I wish I had a romance like that.....

I would have to say the destruction of the Hometree. Which is epitomized at ~5:58 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KbfLb0L_mwA#t=5m57s) in the Destruction of Hometree track. I think that the camera pans to Mo'at who is crying at that point, but I could be wrong.

True!
But i wanted to go manhunt on him..and kill him so slowly..yet very painfully!!I mean he's out there drinking coffee..while the pure innocent na'vi are being killed!
But what messed with my head was when Jake gives that speech and then holds neytiri's hand and flies with her on the toruk!!+ the mated for life part!!

For me it was when Jake wakes up in the machine and is thinking "Everything is backwards now. Like out there is the true world, and in here is the dream."

And weeks later now I'm still in the same boat!

I feel the exact same way. That line is my life right now.

Every time it comes to that part, it reminds me that I'm sitting on Earth, in a dark room, watching a fictional movie...

I think it was the scene when Tsu'tey died, that one got me alittle messed up.

Also, after Neytiri throws his torch into the water after killed the viperwolves, the music kicks in and the forest turns Bioluminescent for the first time. I couldn't even move during that scene, the beauty that is created in that scene is really hard to believe that its not real.

There are so many!

there are so many for me! theres one small part that always sticks out to me, thats when jake is taking his first flight, and Neytiri runs and gets on her Ikran to fly with him. there was just so much innocence and sincereity in that move, and it says so much about how much jake means to her

OK, fine.

The bit where Jake says about how it seems like his avatar is the real him now, quite a few of the epic shots of the views, the forest, Neytiri holding Jake and saying 'I see you' at the end.

The bioluminescent plants--completely trippy and indescribably beautiful-- were, I think, my favorite part of the movie and exemplified the wonder and elation I felt throughout the entire experience. Like I've said before, I'm an artist/concept artist and have seen alot of impressive artwork and I have alot of pretty awesome stuff floating around in my own head so I'm not easily impressed. When I saw those plants in the night, however, it literally took my breath away. That has never happened before. It's hard to describe to people who may or may not be so visually oriented, but I felt almost high at the sheer awe and beauty of Pandora at night. It was even incorporated into the Na'vi bodies! So cool!

Anyway, aside from people have already mentioned, I also really liked the beginning when he's first in his Avatar body--it's where we fully discover the Na'vi physically--the beautiful blue skin subtly striped like a tropical fish, the childlike eyes (at least in his Avatar in the beginning), the expressive ears, the great height, the feline features, the lean, graceful form, the glossy black braid, the tail--all so different and exotic yet so captivating. Especially in a sterile, colorless hospital-like room! It was an incredible feeling for me and I think it was the perfect way to introduce us to the race. James Cameron, in the script, had originally wanted to hint at reflections of their eyes in the jungle, etc, but I think to discover this incredible creature along with Jake was very effective. Too bad the effect was kind of ruined by the trailers, lol! I also loved how he's so elated to be able to move his legs, to feel his toes, to be running. That really made me smile :)

My favorite scene in Avatar would be a tie between where Neytiri is painting Jake in preparation for his "hallucination" test (in script only), and the mating scene between Jake and Neytiri in the script.

But if we're only going by movie, then the mating scene where Jake agrees that Beyral is a good hunter. Neytiri turns to Jake with such emotion :o

The scene that gets me the most is when Grace dies, and Jake, after a pause to fight back his grief, asks Tsu'Tey to translate for him and then makes his Turok Makto speech. It really gets to me! I get tears in my eyes every time.

"Epic" doesn't even begin to describe Avatar. "Life-changing experience" is more accurate.

Best scenes for me is Jake's child like wonder in the forest and his coming of age ceremony with the Na'vi.

The worst scene's that get me is when Grace is pleading with Selfridge about the Na'vi and he laughs at her, and the destruction of hometree.

For me, the two scenes that affected me the most where:

1. Jakes "Toruk Makto" speech - this scene makes me want to scream a war cry right along with the Na'vi, but I don't because people would stare... :p

2. Jake and Neytiri's Mating Scene - I don't know what is with this scene, but the emotions are just so so strong... the problem is I'm not sure what sort of emotions they are!

3. The rest of the move really, but those first two the most.

1. The Toruk speech about sending the message to the sky people
2. When tsutay dies, the music as he gets shot and dies made me very very sad
3. The brilliance in acting by tsutay when he tells jake i will fly with you (he is short on breadth seing Toruk)
4. The sounds Neytiri makes as she flies (love it)
5. How every time jake is in trouble Neytiri protects him standing over him hissing with the knife

Well, I feel me very comfortable all the time, when I watch Avatar.
The whole movie I feel like lots of something small move in my body, you know, it's usually when you see\hear something you like, like your loving movie or music. But when I watch Avatar, this feelings are as much strong, as never before! I also feel smething like heat inside, bot my body is cold outside. It's even enough for me to listen OST, I feel the same.
Very special moments:
When Sully try to run at first time. Music is awesome.
When Sully becomes Toruk-Makto and talk with The People and tsutei translates.
When Sully and Neytiri are together.
etc etc etc
It's not all moments... I have noticed that all moments in the movie I like contain music. I guess Avatar music effect on me so much.

Yeah, the music in the film is spot on. Too many good scenes to decide but i think the most distressing for me was when Tsu tey and Trudy die and it looks like everything is all over. Grace's and Jake's avatars fall and he is pulled out of his machine without putting up a fight as if he has given up.

But the line about being "outcast and alien" when he wakes up in the destroyed Hometree area was kinda eerie.

Goosebumps appeared when Grace told Selfridge the wealth of Pandora isn't in the ground but on the surface, when Jake figured out how to bond with the Toruk, and when Neytiri said Eywa had answered Jake's plea. And some other scenes I'm forgetting.

Yeah that scene where they "Made love" mated for life. Yeah that was weird however it was acceptable because even though Neytiri is Na'vi and not "Human" she is close enough to be human for that "Love scene" to work and for people to accept it. I have seen the movie so many times it does not faze me anymore. But when I first saw it I was like OMG wow this is weird. This will be the downfall of the movie. Glad I was wrong.

Jake: "I have already chosen, but this woman must also chose me"

Neytiri: *smiles* She already has

That part kept me awake for weeks.....seriously every time i think of those 2 lines, i think of all the time Jake and Neytiri spent together, all the adventures they gone through and all the feelings they felt for each other...all of them condensed into those 2 lines.

Another part is of course, the "my jake" part when Neytiri sees jake in his human form but she actually sees the man she loves.

The "im sorry jake" from trudy definately shook me...i was so sad she sacraficed her life for what she believed in.

"destruction of hometree and Neytiri crying over her father" was really emotional for me too.

The "THIS IS OUR LAND" speech by Jake and the gathering of the navi clans for battle literally brought tears to my eyes....i just wanted to grab my umbrella and join them into battle XD

So so many moments, and most of them seem to echo those that others have already picked out. Interesting to see which ones come up time and again. If we are going for emotionally touching then the "my Jake" scene is a definite (I honestly still can't describe my emotions at that simple two word exclamation), as was the mating scene. Those scenes edged towards joy rather than "messed up" though. I also spent pretty much every second of the film after Grace dying whispering to myself "Please Jake, choose." Meaning that I wanted him to choose to be the Na'vi that the rest of us can't be.

The major scene for "messed up" was the destruction of Hometree. That is the first time I have shed a tear in a cinema... ever, I think. Quaritch's reaction to it filled me with a mix of utter disbelief and incandescent rage. The thing that was messed up for me was that I wasn't suspending my disbelief at that point in the film, I honest could envision someone undertaking such a heinous act purely for money and revenge. That messed with my head.

Well, that and my wife being able to guess perfectly that the desctruction of hometree got to me without any prompts at all.

mine was the cheesy moment between jake and neytiri at the tree of voices. I was close to tears when they finally confessed their love for each other.

The passage that starts with Seze dying and Neytiri mourning, and then observing the destruction around her. Direhorses and Na'vi dying... And then it cuts to Trudy being shot down... and soon Tsu'tey being shot down... and then a running direhorse on fire.

So much pain, so much pain. :(

This is the most painful part of the movie to me.

There are other scenes that capture me emotionally, just as strongly, but for other reasons. Such as the joy of Jake and Neytiri flying on their ikrans, and the emotions of Jake and Neytiri mating. Grace dying... "I am with her. She's real!"

And many other scenes.

Mine was the destruction of home-tree, the war at the end, when Jake finds his Ikran, when jake flies on his Ikran with Neytiri, and when Jake and Neytiri mate.

I mentioned this before, but the destruction of Hometree was harsh to watch. Very 9/11, the whole reason I gave up my whole life and joined the Army. I see the Twin Towers fall every showing of Avatar I see when Hometree is destroyed.

The rallying cry before the last battle... "My brothers, sisters... This is our land!" Yeah, everybody: THIS is OUR land!

Anytime someone says "Wake up." It is used in so many ways: "Hey WTF???" "Look around!" "What are we/you doing?!"

The two that messed me up was Grace passing. I really wanted her to survive and enjoy being a Na'vi as she seemed so joyful in her Avatar, and clearly was happy when she was big and blue. The Omaticaya ('cept Tsu'Tey) clearly respected her were as most of the RDA workers did not. Another scene that messed me was the destruction of the home tree... but then I ended up crying with laughter at Mo'At's screaming when she realises what the Humans had done.

Actually the whole movie messed with my mind , values I had before do now matter a lot less or nothing at all anymore , it made me think if what we do as a whole is right or wrong , it made my awareness grow to a whole new level , you start asking questions until you have an actual solid solution , not a cheap excuse and you'll be satisfied with it .

I'd like to say thank you again to James Cameron who made this wonderful movie with alot of messages behind it , avatar is definately an "eye-opener" , it makes you see beyond , draw parallels and realize facts .

I can tell for myself that the most parts that messed with me the most or made me realize how the society I live in actually is existing in a large decaying process , and it made me angry to see that people are keeping up this state and push ourselves closer and closer to a point of no return , it made me angry to see how chances are simply refused and even ignored , if it comes to the real deal namely the aim to have peace and freedom spread in the world , the leaders of our countries no matter if political or industrial are simply failing in every point .
Some of the scenes that messed with me alot , were definately jakes speech , it made me think for the time of a moment that we are about to change things , that we are going to fight for something that's worth fighting for , but then I got pulled back into reality some time afterwards , anotherone was the scene when they bombed the home tree , it just showed to me again how cruel people can be if it's about profit , made me feel alot of hate and contempt for those who try to profit of others possess , not only material possess , that's worth nothing to compared what your heart is connected to , your soul and your entire life , and that's what has been taken from the Na'Vi , the only language that those imperialists understand is the language of red numbers and they definately fell alot in to the minus with the attempt to enslave pandoras people , actually they should be the ones who would earn it to be attacked and annihilated , showed me aswell again that it's just the other way around in the real world .

Avatar made me compare the world I live in and am going to live in with a world that is so much better and would be my personal choice (if I had one , but I don't ) over the one I have to live in today , which doesn't exclude the possibility that everything can become better again , but I guess that will be a tough task and currently the chances to achieve a world of freedom , understanding and respect for life in all it's kinds rather look bad , but I wouldn't like to give up the hope either .

The scenes that messed me up the most and brought me closest to tears were when Neytiri yells Jake saying he'll "never be on of The People" and also when she holds her father in her arms and sobs uncontrollably

The scene where after Neytiri kills Quaritch and Jake is trying to get the Exo-pack. I cried so hard core I would have been devastated if Jake died. and the funny thing is it gets me every time even though I know hes not going to die.

Same those scenes got me also:nsmile:

I get chills at so many scenes during the movie. Destruction of Hometree breaks my heart, Jake's speech makes me feel inspired. I also love the scene where Jake is coming to the people on Toruk Makto and the way he looks at Neytiri and she looks at him and they say "I See You," to each other...so incredible. My friend said that scene was cheesy and I wanted to bash her on the head lol. There are many other scenes that affect me, but those are some of them.

What messed me up the most was

1) destruction of the hometree, especially when Neytiri takes a look around her and sees all the destruction around here.

2)I think its after the second time Jake s coming out of that cabine thing (dunno how its called °.°) When he s sitting in the wheelchair again looking quite sad. Hit me quite hard.

during the whole movie i was emotionally captured very strong. i cried in many scenes of the movie, not always when i was sad, the emotions just came out so strong, like when they were mating or destroying the hometree...but the scene that messed me up most was probably the ending when jake was doing his last videolog and then opened his Na'vi eyes i could imagine myself in his situation and thats what made me cry so hard it was so unbelievable happiness...few seconds later it made me so sad because i realized that i was sitting in my room and wasn't reborn as Na'vi...
also when i today see how politicians try to get control of our whole "system of living" it makes me kinda depressed how men have changed reality. then i always think that we wouldn't need all this senseless stuff and could be just happy living with nature without politics and all the other ****...its a strange new feeling when i see our world and happenings and its a bit sad...hope u understand my english

Definately when Neytiri saves Jake from suffocating. In second place... probably hometree. Not as much the destruction of it, but more the aftermath, when all na'vi were crying and stuff (especially when Neytiri found her dad dead.)

Definitely the aftermath of the destruction of hometree. The way they were all swaying, crying and kneeling was just crushing, not to mention them carrying their dead or injured and some just wandering aimlessly and hopelessly. It really made you feel the sense of despair there. I can honestly say no other scene in any other film I have ever seen made me feel so empathetic with the characters than that scene there. :ncry:

When Grace is dying and the Na'vi are doing that werid wiggly dance thing around the sacred tree. The first time I watched that in theaters, I felt like I was having some werid acid trip or something lol.

As far as emotionally powerful scenes go though, there were many: when Neytiri tells Jake he will never be one of the people, when all the Na'vi attack the humans during the battle scene, and when all the Omaticaya make a circle around Jake when he joins the clan. That part always makes me tear up alittle =3

The "I see you" scene at the end between Jake & Neytiri and destruction of the hometree.

Hometree crashing down on top of defenseless Na'vi was a big scene for me.

I think the one that got to me the most was during the aerial battle, where Seze was shot down and killed. At that point Ney'tiri had lost so much already, and she was in so much despair that she was ready to die herself. Jake was pleading with her to stay put and not attack.

The first time I saw that I was so caught up in it, and I was heartbroken too. I didn't know if she would die or not too. Then Eywa steps in and Ney'tiri is jubilant. It was a very quick 180 degree shift in emotion. Seeing all the creatures pouring out of the skies and the forest, I was overcome with joy. I wanted to shout "Yeah!!!" and jump up and down. :nwink:

In no particular order

1. When Jake and Ney'tiri first meet.
2. When Jake says "I have already chosen".
3. When hometree went down.
4. When Ney'tiri says "I see you" at the end.

and for reasons I don't know I get a shiver when at the end jake is signing off his video log and says "I don't want to be late to my own party, it's my birthday after" and it cuts to him being transfered into hie na'vi body, the music at that point is just mind blowing.

The scenes that mostly stroke me are three:
1) The ceremony where Jake becomes one of the People, and everyone (with Neytiri's mother being the first) touches the shoulders of the person standing before him or her, as to say "You are one of us, and we are one." This message is something that most human people (excluding us Avatar fans :nwink:) won't ever understand;
2) Jake's first Ikran flight;
3) The "My Jake" scene, where Neytiri saves Jake by giving him a rebreather, seeing him and touching him really for the first time. The way they look at each other just gives me goosebumps!

I completely agree with this post. These are the exact scenes I would say messed with me the most as well. Especially the ending scene, something about the way the music and visuals line up there just tears me to pieces every time I see it. The scene where Jake "chose" Neytiri was also amazing. The amount of joy you could see on Neytiri's face when Jake said "but this woman must also choose me" was indescribable. The scene where Neytiri's father dies and she is crying over his body always makes my stomach drop. Not only was the crying of Neytiri just completely heart-wrenching (did not seem fake at all, just utter sorrow), but when Jake tries to console her and she tells him to "never come back", I can only imagine Jake's pain as well. He has to watch the woman he loves weeping in complete sorrow over her father's death, she doesn't want to even see Jake ever again, and on top of that Jake has to feel responsible and guilty for the entire attack on the hometree which made it fall (he gathered the intel on it's structure, after all). The scene where Neytiri is holding Jake's human body was just beautiful. The connection you could see between them in this scene just gives me the chills. Neytiri was so happy to see that Jake was alive that she didn't care what body he was in. She loves Jake for who he is, not what he looks like (which is very rare in today's society). Those tears of joy for just having the man she loves ALIVE make this scene all the more touching. This movie is absolutely amazing, and not just for the "look what we have done to our environment" message, or for the awesome action scenes, but mainly in my opinion for this relationship that we see develop between Jake and Neytiri throughout the movie. The transition from calling Jake a moron (scoun) at the beginning to being so deeply in love at the end was extremely smooth, and you could see the bond between them building in each and every scene. The love story in this movie was, for a loss of words, remarkable and touching. I'm a guy saying all of this, just goes to show how strongly the feelings in this movie touch the audience.

For me it was when Jake wakes up in the machine and is thinking "Everything is backwards now. Like out there is the true world, and in here is the dream."

And weeks later now I'm still in the same boat!

Yup, same scene for me here too, though the part after the destruction of hometree where Neytiri sees a Direhorse running through the forest...on fire...was just- was just so powerful, all I could think of was omg while crying as I just couldn't cope seeing an animal like that- guess I was much like Neytiri here but without the tears...

- Both times when Neyteri stands over jakes avatar with her knife hissing...i mean wow, honestly thats an alpha female right there. Truly a prime example of an "animalistic" defense mechanisim. I don't know what it is, but those sequences give me the chills. I can only dream of being in love with someone who would be willing to sacrifice themselves like that for me.

- When jake arrives at the tree of souls with toruk, and neyteri says she was afraid for her people. But not anymore...

Im not an emotional guy but this movie, it really got me tearing up a few times. Since I first saw it a few weeks ago I have since seen it maybe 4 more times. And the story truly consumes you. My thoughts never seem far from some theme of the movie. Mainly the simplistic style of living. I am reading Henry David Thoureau's Walden, many of the same "natural and organic" stlyes of living are preached in the book. I highly recommend it to everyone here.

Yep, that's the one for me too Tarnished. The way it builds up and they open up to each other. The setting is so warm and tranquil, even though it is at night. The connection you can tell they feel. The music...everything. It just leaves me a complete wreck afterwards. For me the best scene in the whole film and leaves me longing for my own Neyney, some day....soon!

Defenitly the part where the humans are destroying HomeTree, and when Grace goes "you murderer" in slow mo, and the music is all intense. That part gives me goosebumbs!!

Great comments from everyone!
Of course I could repeat everything you've all said, as it has affected me equally, but instead I'll choose some less widely-discussed parts.

When Neytiri says her first line in pure english: "You have a strong heart..."
Her voice is so perfect and it gives me chills every time.

When Tsu'tey, Jake, and the other Iknimayans are standing at the cave before the giant waterfall, and Neytiri flies over on her ikran, THE HORNS from the music and the screeches of her ikran are enough to make me die on the inside.

When Hometree crashes down and all you hear is that last little muffled scream from all the hundreds of Na'vi that died...

Jake's rallying speech after Grace's death...goosebumps every time from the epic music.

The violins in the scene where Jake gives his last video log and signs off. By then I'm in tears... :*\

And of all the Avatar viewings that I've had in my life, nothing ever is so finishing...so definite...so perfect, then when Jake opens his eyes at the end.

Agree with Sanjwale ahah, everytime i see Neytiri, i get messed up! for real, i'm not kidding, she's so Beautiful :) anyway, for me, one of the best scenes is when Neytiri saves Jake, kills Quaritch, and then goes to Jake's body and hisses at Quaritch dying with two arrows in his chest, it just touches me, and the music on too, it makes a fantastic feeling, I just love NeyNey!!!!! She's so hot and perfect, she just so strong and brave but sweet and lovely, she's everything! Neylove is the Way, I See You Sanjwale ;)

for me it was definitely the tree of voices and mating scenes, Neytiri's hair made her look different and her beauty really came out for me there. i thought i was insane for falling in love with an alien but i couldn't help feel that way and it seriously left me confused and i didn't know what to feel after that but some sort of feeling remained. but now i see, i see that Neytiri is really beautiful inside and out and i'm not the only one who agrees :nsmile:

the scene when Jake discovers bioluminiscence. When he was lost in the selva he was only bothered about survival but when he, picking up his (extinguished) torch from the river, looks up - and stays with his mouth open, marvelled, it was like some portal opening (for me) and I was: "I KNOW this forest! I recognize this, I saw it before!" and from then on.. heck I have to retell half of the movie in order to mention all the BIG BANG scenes.
But one of the best of the best is when Neytiri finds Jake dying in the crushed cabin, sticks the mask on his face - and looks at him with such love, it doesn't matter that she sees him in his human body (for the first time), she really SEES into him - the physical appearances don't matter anymore, this is the real "I SEE YOU". Imho, she was like a personification of Eywa in this scene - especially that Na'vi are so much taller and bigger than humans. Man, the face she had! Pure divine.

the scene when Jake discovers bioluminiscence.
How about this? I went shopping yesterday (which I hate doing) passed thru home electronics section, and what I see on a big plasma TV? Yes or yes - Avatar of course. It was the scene when Grace gives good grief to Parker for the first time. I couldn't stay & watch the whole movie :( but I decided to "have another look" before leaving... & was right in time for the "biolimuniscence discovery scene". This very scene! Excellent! It was like: "Your gift from Pandora, sign here please".

ah me too, but I just can't list ALL the scenes that took my breath away. I made it a point to watch Avatar for the second time home alone, so that I could express all I felt - cry like there's no tomorrow, or laugh my head off, anything I feel... And yes, I had such a happy smile on my face when Jake found himself in this new body that could... walk. And run! I am smiling even now, I felt so happy for him - or with him.

Wishing the strength of spirit to your boyfriend. Did he see Avatar? If yes, what does he think about it?

Yeah mate, i'm pretty sure he is, and he's right... that moment is very sad and touching... :( Sese has died, and there are Na'vis and Horses getting blown up by missiles... It's horrible... :( and as i just finished watching it again tonight, I found another part that really touches me, it's Jake's speech to the Omaticaya straight after poor Grace has died... When Tsu'tey turns his head round saying 'Fly faster than the wind!', the Reassured look on his face =) and all the excitement of the people, the feeling of revenge, of loyalty, the shout of warriors, wanting to bring peace back to their Beloved ones, and to their planet, it's lovely :)

today watched the part where neytiri screams: "EYWAS HAS HEARD YOU!"

this is such a powerful scene, this "EYWA HAS HEARD YOU!" Jake's call for union (he knew the Earth history, right) and the clans responding was of paramount importance. I think, on this planet, if different clans forgot their ancient feuds and united against the invasion, the history could have been different at least in some way.

Anyway in the movie, during the final battle, the people are doing their best, fighting to death... and yet they are being hammered until Eywa steps in and restores the balance her way - the whole jungle rises up against the invaders (I am getting tears in my eyes).

Sometimes I think we should ask Eywa (or Gaia) for help on this planet! We are trying (those who see that things are wrong) - but we "really need help here".

The music that played during that was so awesome and fitting as well, that with the images just was by far the most powerful part for me.

"I trusted you... I TRUSTED YOU!!!!!!"

this is my SECOND mess-with-your-head moment. Brilliant scene of 'innocence betrayed'. The one that REALLY messed with MY head was the first time 'numbnuts' meets Grace Augustine driving her WAY TOO SASSY avatar strutting her thaaang.

In the original version of the screenplay PROJECT 880 (http://www.avatar-forums.com/showthread.php?t=15750), didn't Jake have a line somewhere along the lines of, "Damn, that's hot!" or something?

The scene where jake is being "Escorted" to hometree for the first time sent shivers down my spine. The Music was astounding, Seeing the giant tree for the first time and up until then the forest had been pretty bare of humanoid figures except for Ney, Grace, Norm, and Tsu'tey's group......then as Jake is entering the tree, you begin to see Hundreds of others, and you realize that there is an entire civilization living there.

Just amazing

I would say the attack on home tree was the most emotion generating part, attacking the clan with misslies, and hearing all of the screams of terror( I mean c'mon we meet another sentient people and we do that?) IDK how much we think we "needed" that piece of land, I mean you don't show them Rommel and Hitler,Pol Pot, you show them Ghandi, Bethoveen(misspelled) Einstien ect.

By 'messed with' I perceive you mean 'negatively impacted' or something like that. And for me, it actually was the 'mercs' dieing. I live in a military family, with a long line of proud, and honorable service. No less then three of my immediate family was deployed when I watched Avatar in theaters. In fact the day right before the movie I found out my cousin's rescue helicopter was hit by a RPG (no one killed, chopper made it back to base and repaired), and was shot at by a sniper team.
I don't know, they might be mercs; but I hate seeing soldiers, of any uniform; die.

The scene that got me the most was the part when Tsu'tey was flinging all the RDA grunts off the plane and ended up dying. I didn't even really care for him the most, but I think it's the music that made it 1000000x more dramatic in that moment.
