Okay, how does one:
- Generate an Avatar with a complete working brain that doesn't have any cognitive ability (needs a driver) but has enough function to keep the Avatar alive when it's 'asleep' (breathing, heartbeat) Physically the brain must be identical, else how can Eywa port Jake's human self into his Avatar? (Data had a Positronic brain - what do Avatar's have?)
- I find it hard to believe that with Jake's mixed DNA that Neytiri could have a baby go to full term and be viable. Nature here on Earth is pretty good about keeping that from happening between species. Jake is different enough to raise concerns for me.
- Na'vi are bigger, so are their heads. Are their brains then less dense? Seem they should be higher thinking beings with all that extra gray matter, unless it's less dense. Maybe more is devoted to eyesight, smell, motor functions?
I know it's Sci-Fi. Great movie! Love that the motion was fluid, that the physics are plausible (flying creatures had enough wing surface area and beats, aspect ratios maintained). Still there are unexplained things I wish I knew.
