Hahaha you look like your in a delicate state of trance. What happens if some unfortunate passer-by cuts your view of the trailer. I would go mental, jumping up and down and shouting random syllables! Lol

Haha, nice picture dude. In repeat viewings of the movie, I still bite off all my nails, even though I know exactly what happens next.

It's one of those moments when you think, "I feel so sorry for you." :embarrassed: It's so funny, and then I think...

..."If I were in his place, I'd do exactly the same thing. And even after I've watched it three or four times in a row, if someone interrupted my fifth viewing I'd shush them: 'I love this part!'"

Haha! I'm exactly like that, only replace the nail-biting with widened eyes and balling expressions. :embarrassed:

I honestly don't think I can sit through Avatar without at least tearing up. 70% chance of showers.

Heh. I walked into the theater after the start time (don't need to see the previews for a 4th time) today; it was a matinee, and the only movie running at the theater (I think). But was I walked up, the guy at the ticket counter (who's sold me previous tickets to Avatar) asks me "1 for Avatar?". I don't know if he recognized me or not, but I simply answered "Of course". - While thinking to myself "no, after 3 times, I figured I'd come see some other movie. ... no, wait, why on earth would I do that? Of course Avater, DUH.". :nsmile:

Its a cool way to wait for the showing :D Its always a pain to wait until a movie is starting and when you want to watch avatar its a more painful wait - you look at the clock and wait that you can finally storm into the showing room ;)

Fifth Watch on friday i walked around 15 minutes in circles, waiting.. no trailer, nothing to read in the meantime. :D

Holy balls... 34 times?

I'm not sure I've seen any movie I own 34 times. Good thing you can see it for free... $8 a ticket = $272, not even counting if you decide to get popcorn or a small coke.

I can't say I'm jealous... more afraid that my brain would melt.

mikkowilson
01-17-2010, 05:13 AM
Where can you get a movie ticket for $8? (Ok, matinee is $7.50 here, but still..)

The matinee price for a 3D ticket is $10.50 here in Florida.

If you count all the times I've watched the movie in the theater AND online... I think I'd be around 30 as well, not sure I lost count weeks ago.

Can't wait for my survival guide!!!

At my local theater, they play Avatar in 3D at 1:45, 5:10, and 8:45 (yes I memorized it, not that hard to do) and the prices are something like.... 7.50, 9, 11.

The most I've seen a movie is probably somewhere around a dozen time, but that's over a fairly long period of time. I'm already up to 4 on Avatar and the only thing slowing me down is the ticket price. I bet I'll be up to at least the 30s range the month the BD is out.

Wow I thought I was weird for memorizing the times too!

Yeah those ticket prices are killers. $10.50 for a matinee ticket around my area. So I've only gone to watch it four times in the theater, and (honest to god) countless times online. I plan to go to IMAX (which is 50 miles away) to watch it again!

I saw it four times and paid 17$ (~12€) everytime. But I still want to see it again. :)

Wow I honestly didn't think my thread would get this many posts overnight haha

But that was my second time out of eight seeing Avatar, first time in IMAX 3-D... the reason it wasn't so crowded was we were two hours early... I was doing something out in the city the IMAX 3-D theater was in, and I was planning on seeing the movie at that time anyways so I figured, hey I'm out here, no point in driving home and back here.

But dang, 34 times? That is really crazy... the ticket prices here are a little more pricier...

$11.00 for regular, $14.50 Real-D 3-D, and $16 IMAX 3-D.... was soooo worth it though

It makes you sound weird too... do you have any idea how many times I've said "Txopu rä'ä si Tsamsiyu!" in public? It's become automatic... especially when I have nothing else to say haha

2 hour early explains a lot! :D
in Austria the prices for Real D 3D are 11€ and for IMAX 13 €

We're certainly passionate! That's true. I just wish Pandora were a little more tangible. After watching it again today I got a little down again. But shoot, I still can't believe someone has seen it 34 times!

Me and my friend are learning how to speak na'vi. Is that phrase from the "make the bond" scene? What does it mean?

I too have spoken the phrases/words of the Na'vi language as well... I would say, "Kaltxi, nga ru lu fpom srak?" and "Oel ngati kameie" and even asked the ticket lady for one ticket for Avatar in Na'vi... I walked up and said, "Kaltxi, aw uniltìrantokx." she gave me the wierdest look. So I repeated myself, and she continued to stare at me like I was... well speaking a different language! It was priceless... I already mentioned that on another thread so I know I could've said more to make the phrase make sense, but still was priceless either way. Also when I was with my friends and we were watching a movie, and the important part came up and everyone was still talking and joking so I yelled, "Nga!" Yea that got everyone to shutup :rotfl:
