Anyone getting an Avatar tattoo?

I'd love too but its just not in my budget right now. My wife is pregnant with our first baby so she'd probably kill me ;) I already have 2 half sleeves, but if I had an extra grand laying around I'd definitely get one on my shoulder blade.

A talented artist could do an awesome job on a Neytiri portrait...the colors would be so sick. They even have that ink that shows up in blacklight if you really wanted to go all out! Maybe some day....

Ok, I just had to register after seeing this thread so I can post in this. I've been on this forum for a few days now and you guys are like me, Avatar fans but threads like this make me cry, please, don't be so ****ing stupid and buy a tatoo of Neytiri. I mean, if you'll gonna tattoo anything it should be your daughter/son when she plops out or one of your wife, not a fictional character. What many here on the forums need to remember that this is an hype. It will probably fade so don't make a decision that will follow you through your whole life, if you really wants to, wait like 6 months before you get the tatoo so the "hype" can fade.

i was thinking of getting sleeved, not going full body crazy, but im still unsure... but seeing somebody like that would be totally extreme! haha

Wow, they do!? That's pretty cool. I'd never get a tattoo but just thinking about seeing one w/ a full scale sketch of Neytiri and Jake in the Pandora forest on someone's back makes me laugh; in a good way.

It brings to mind that tattoo man on Oprah that once. The only problem is that he finally ran out of space...on every part of his body. There was also another guy who tattooed himself totally blue. He was almost done but since Avatar wasn't done yet, he didn't look much like a Na'vi. :nembarrassed:

I'm going to draw my Tattoo, than give a negative copy to the guy. If it were only possible.. I know of no tattooist who does custom paint jobs. They stick to their sketchbooks and copies.
