It is very difficult to get your point across when this forum is mostly full of Neytiri fans, can we just settle our disputes and create good and interesting threads without consistent backlash about the faults of one anothers character?

The only backlash I've noticed is against (a) war crimes and (b) spamming.

True to an extent. I mean the movie is still recent so everyone is making a ton of posts, myself included.

I know, and that's okay, but when you make 10 threads on the same subject knowingly, the boards become cluttered, and it's difficult to find anything. Aren't 1-2 boards on Quaritch enough?

Quatrich is one of the best "vilains" I've seen in a movie for a long time, the thing is I don't think you can really call him a vilain ... because I ultimately think that he's not evil @ all. He was just thinking that the Na'Vi were the evil ones, the only difference is that he was not fighting for freedom or for his country, he was fighting for a corporation to extract Unobtainium ...

Agreed.
In the end he was just doing his job.
Although he was deluded, no doubt.

This post is dedicated to the true hero of the film "Avatar". Whilst most would instantly jump to the conclusion that I must be referring to one of the Na’vi people or Avatar drivers, this is not the case.

The true hero of the film lies in one Colonel Miles Quaritch. Quaritch represents all that is good in humanity. Exhibiting such sought after personality traits of dedication, bravery, loyalty and an unbreakable resolve, Quaritch projects a perfect model of selflessness, honor and sacrifice that all men should strive to achieve. However, the “Hero of Humanity”, based perhaps on Jesus Christ himself, is betrayed by the despicable race traitor Jake Sully. Sully, a disabled United States Marine, is brainwashed by Dr. Grace Augustine to betray his own people and fight alongside the primitive, savage inhabitants of Pandora. This behaviour, in direct defiance of Quaritch, could be hinting that Sully is acting as a sort of Anti-Christ to humanity.

It is clear in the film that the human race has all but extinguished (or very nearly) the resources that can be found currently on Earth. This being the case, should it not be the duty of corporations to find an alternative solution to providing energy? Providing fuel? Providing opportunity? The answer to this question is yes. And as demonstrated in Avatar this is exactly what they have done. We are simply attempting to save the human race, and given that we are clearly a far more technologically advanced species grants us the right to survival...even if it means exterminating another race entirely.

May Colonel Miles Quaritch, and the other brave humans that stood up for their race forever be remembered for their noble service and ultimate sacrifice.

Haha nice comment. The only good well not maybe thing you can say about Quaritch is that he was like an unstoppable monster that just kept going. Probably one of the baddest villains I guess for not liking Pandora.

After reading this quote I decided to join up! :D

So what does a new recruit have to do to get a thread on 'Camo Patterns', 'WASP pistol (http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=76202)' (thank you therpf.com)and other costume items going around here.
