Hi friends!
I dunno if you've already seen this yet but I'm posting it in case you haven't. (If you already did please mods, feel free to erase the topic)

This is a flash application made by the deviant dolldivine at deviantart. There you can pick a male/female avatar and then choose clothing, hair color, eyes, nose and tons of accesories, even the background!!!

yes sir,but it is the only way i know.....print screen and cut/paste like you do your desktop screenshots. that's how i saved mine.

How 'bout now? It's strange, I'm doing the same thing before for the previous ones but the system seems to be having trouble accepting this one. How did you upload yours? I just uploaded it to the AF database, and took the url for the full size image and put [img] tags around it.

This is Nala a Na'vi woman from my dreams. I think Nala would be a good Na'vi name by the way. I've been having a series of reoccurring dreams that are similar, but wide ranging. There's one where she's escaping from a science lab/military base and me happening upon her hiding in my woods, which is a fairly basic dream. Then I'll have a separate series that is more elaborate where gray aliens come to abduct me and I ask them if there is other life out there and of course they inform me that there is lots of life in the universe. So I ask them if they've encountered any life like the Na'vi and indeed they have. So I offer a trade where they can use my property as a safe place to conduct their research and learn about Earth with me and the internet at their disposal if they'll take me wherever I want to go. They agree and of course I do the trivial things... like go to the moon and find out that we really haven't been there... Then we're off to this planet where these people who look like the Na'vi live. We go to the surface hovering just out of sight and find this beautiful woman getting water from a river. That's when the gray aliens abduct her for me... when she gets on-board obviously she flips out because gray aliens are really freaky looking. Anyways the story is too extensive to really tell in any length here so I'll conclude it with this... I eventually find out that she can speak and I point at myself and say my name and she finally gets what I mean and that's when she points to herself and says "Nala."

myself and others i think,have been doing the old printscreen request,like you copy your desktop image,then cut,crop,paste. it usually is a 800x600 image after you crop it.

I'm glad you guys liked the story about Nala. My dreams are always really unique and interesting. I think my mind created Nala because Neytiri is so well liked by so many and Nala was created to be my mate out of respect for everyone else because while we can all appreciate and love Neytiri we all couldn't have her.

Oh... I'm using the same program as you guys, but I modified the image with Photoshop. I had the original screen capture and as I was about to post it I was looking at it and I thought that perhaps I could make it look a little better so I put it in Photoshop and reworked it. As far as clothing goes... for me less is more. I like keeping it simple and natural. In my dreams Nala and her people have a culture similar to the Na'vi, but they don't wear clothes they only wear decorative dressings and body paint. Although this makes them very beautiful I thought it would probably be more acceptable if I at least put something on her. ^_^

Thanks mate... I drew it all in myself... I've had her in Photoshop the past two days with no clothes on trying to come up with something that would look nice. I almost couldn't come up with that skirt, but I got the idea after searching "sheer skirts (http://www.dancingrahana.com/images/products/detail/skirts51green.jpg)" on Google and again I just went with something simple. The finished product is made up of more than 50 layers. I removed what she had on by masking it off and replaced it with what you see. I added the bioluminescence to give it that extra touch because night time on Pandora without bioluminescence makes for an unusual/boring photo. I couldn't give her glow dots though because sadly they weren't showing up as I wanted them to so I left them out. In all there are about 10 layers I chose to exclude from the finished product.

I may try to make more and I might even try to make my own background.

This started for me about six months ago. I have a dedicated Photobucket account specifically to post images to Avatar Forums, but about six months ago my images would be replaced with this image...

No matter how many times I would fix it eventually it would get replaced with that image over and over.

Some of the images in that post are visible while others aren't and they're all from the same source... my photobucket account.

It's gotten to the point where the only way I can post an image is to upload it as an attachment each time otherwise it'll look like this...

The latest issue that recently began to happen is when I post an image I can see it throughout the day and then suddenly it's gone completely. Logging out and logging back in helps this sometimes although this may be a cache issue. I haven't cleared my FireFox cache for a couple of months and that can cause various random issues.

About six months ago someone was obviously hacking the forum because some people's images were being replaced with other images not the image I have above, but someone was replacing them with completely different photos of other things. This is frustrating, but it can also get you banned if someone was to replace a completely harmless image with one that could get you banned.

^ thanks for trying to help, going to ask a few more questions, when I hear "print screen" I think of actually printing out on paper, I can do that with-out printing it physically?( sorry if these are really dumb questions). Then there is cropping it? is that just resizing it( I have tried to paste pics to the forum from my paint before and the only one that came out was my sig., the rest came out really small even though they were large pictures( as large as my sig pic and I have no idea why.) sorry for my computer Skxawngness as it were.

screen print is basiclly copying an image of your computer screen. Its the key marked PrntScr, usually its combined with another function so you have to press shift before you do it. Then pull up paint and paste, should come up (make sure if you have set the canvas to the size of your computer.

Croping it just cutting bits off an image to get the bits you want, just move the black lines at the edge to take out the sections you don't want.
