Black Hole Caught in the Act

[Wanderlust]

NASA's Swift satellite has witnessed the death of a star by black hole. Until now scientists have only seen the aftermath of such events, but this event was witnessed while it happened.

This star got too close and paid the price. The entire star was destroyed.
