Na'vi hand paint (and a flower)

I was totally bored today, and noticed my little sister had some face paint out, so I painted her hand Na'vi style as pratice for when I'm going to do her blue makeup on Halloween (I was a Na'vi last year but I couldn't paint myself so I really want the chance to paint someone else). I think it came out pretty well, I would have liked it to be lighter colored but I ran out of white paint. The spots are glow in the dark, it looked pretty cool in a dark closet we went in to test it.

When we were finished I had some glow in the dark paint left out that I didn't want to waste so just for the heck of it I painted this intricate design of Na'vi-style "bioluminescent" spots on my hand (I probably should have washed it first, it had some paint on it).

Then I used the rest to paint this fake flower so it will glow in the dark:

I got the idea from this thread (http://www.avatar-forums.com/fan-art/9635-pandoran-flora-contraband/). I wish I could show you how the flower and our hands look in the dark but my camera can't seem to pick up things glowing in the dark.

That looks really cool, you should post the pictures up when you dressed up as a Na'vi last Halloween, if they were anything like your sisters hand I bet they were awesome!

Thanks guys :nsmile: I'm considering starting a mini-business next Halloween painting people Na'vi style. As for me last year, I couldn't exactly do my own paint without doing some weird contortions to reach everywhere, so I had someone else do it. She did a pretty good job nonetheless but she didn't know Avatar like I do.
