Hey what's up. I just thought that the forum would be better suited with a GFX section. I feel that the need for this comes from various threads. It would simply be allowing people to showoff their signatures, make requests and post tutorials (with fourms like, GFX Discussion, GFX Tutorials, GFX Turorials, GFX Battles, Etc).

You get my point, it's just an idea. Please consider it. Thanks.

it already exists. its called fan art/fan fiction. not enough traffic on that forum to justify an additional one.

That's completely different, fan art isn't exactly GFX, and it is based on Avatar, hence the 'Fan' in 'Fan Art' :D. You probably just read the title and commented, that's what I sometimes do.

actually chief i read your post and what you were describing (showing off sigs, tutorials) fits in the fan art category. as far as non-avatar related graphics are concerned.... well this... this is avatar-forums. i don't know why you wouild post them here.

also, upon my second reading of your post I see that what you're actually asking for is an entire new forum with multiple sub-forums for gfx. well. thats a ridiculous request. if this were a gfx forum, then yes, that would make a lot of sense, but as you might be able to tell from the header, its not. i don't understand why you think that something that is currently rarely discussed deserves 1/5 of the homepage.

Well there's Entertainment forums, also Gaming forums, they're not Avatar related.

I'm actually requesting a category which contains forums, I'm not asking for sub-forums. I can tell that you've never looked upon a control panel before, it's extremely simple to make a new category and new forums. GFX forums are common in thousands of online communities. The main reason that GFX is rarely discussed is because there's no where to discuss the topic :D

Okay friend I see that you have mistakenly determined yourself to be smarter than me, but this is a misstep. I'll ask you to stop making insinuations as to what I do and do not know. I know exactly what you're asking for, but you are getting hung up on words (for instance category vs. forum vs. subforum). What I meant by forum is what you mean by category, what I mean by subforum is what you mean by forum. I apologize that I assumed you'd have the deductive skills to figure that out on your own. I will now dumb down what I say to what is comprehensible by you by stating things in your terms and parenthesizing mine.

Now, yes, there is a forum (or subforum) each for a variety of entertainment categories, but they are each a broad forum for discussion for users to get to know each other and discuss likes and dislikes. There is not, however, a category (forum) for movies with several different forums (sub-forums) for different genres. This would be unnecessarily specific, especially if it was done for each of the present entertainment forums (sub-forums). So we have established that I think it is a good idea to have broadly stated off-topic (that topic being Avatar) forums (subforums) so people can get to know each other and share interests. However, I only believe this should be done if there is a legitimate amount of discussion to be had within that forum (subforum) so that this site isn't cluttered with unnecessary forums (subforums). For each of the present ones, there is almost an infinite number of discussions to be had and each of the subjects is something everyone has something to say about. For GFX, however, at least in the capacity you describe it, I don't feel that there is enough discussion to be had, or at least enough interest, to legitimize even a forum (subforum), not to mention an entire category (forum) with several different forums (subforums). What you have described in your proposal already fits in other categories, specifically fan-art. If people have non-avatar related gfx they want to show well... i don't know why they would show it here and I don't know why they would come here to get tutorials on non-avatar gfx projects. For instance, we wouldn't have an entire category (forum) for music production with forums (sub-forums) for each instruments, computer-generated music, looping tutorials, share your work, because music production is not the topic of this forum, nor is it intimately related.

In conclusion, I'm right and you're wrong.

Wohooow, both of you calm down abit, tsaheylu with an apple or something friendly for abit.

I think that Kenny wants a place where you can discuss art and graphics that has absolutely nothing to do with Avatar, which makes sense to me, since certain people are only interested in avatar related art have their sub forum already.

Having that said, if you do not approve with Kenny's idea, leave it and let other people comment on his suggestion instead of tracking him down.

Peace! :nsmile:

hahaha. fair.

but my argument is that this is avatar-forums and we shouldn't be clogging it with bulks of non-avatar things. but i suppose i can see an art/graphic art SUBFORUM in the entertainment forum or something, but not a whole section with various sub forums.

Could you explain, accurately, how much time and commitment you put into this aimless task of making yourself out to be some super-genius? Sarcastically speaking, you probably began revising before the Holocene! You haven’t exactly accomplished anything over that last pitiful hour of revising and writing. You must have exerted yourself, determined to look clever in order to win a pathetic debate, such an achievement. I take it your life has altered to the point that you're too happy to be alive.

You may be thinking sophistically, but your incorrect in logic and reasoning is misleading this thread into some sort of argument. I don’t know if you’re doing this intentionally, or just getting carried away, but just abandon what will become a pointless bewilderment. We’ve both have had our say, now let an administrator have his.

Why have you made such a pointless post? It has nothing to do with you and we don't want to know if you're enjoying this. I understand what you're saying when you say that you're enjoying this but youhave to understand where I'm coming from. I don't have anything against you personally but I hate people butting in.

I feel my posts are worth removing, I would rather Toruk agrees to remove his also.
