When avatar first came out I was exspecting nothing out of the ordinary but when the movie was over I was some how at a loss on what I thought about it but affter awhile I begane to put more thought into the subject and as my ideas rew so did my excitement. It was however not that interesting to anyone else in my family and for a long time I was not able to share my thoughts on the subject less I be thought of as a moron r child. Then I found this fourm thx to my Avatar buddy who i met at school now I have the chance to share my input so from the bottom of my heart thank you all for making me feel like I belong thank you.

Welcome to the Family tsmukan ;) It's so cool to see that new people keep coming and coming and coming :) For real, every week or two there's a new thread like this, and I just love to see people say the truth and express their special feeling which only Avatar ignites in some people :) Oel Ngati Kameie Ma Tsmukan ;) Oh and by the way, if you've "only" seen the nomal version of Avatar, if you like it so much, i suggest you get yourself the extended version, believe me, it's even better, when I watched it the first and only time, i poured my eyes out that night alone in my room in awe of the beauty of it all <3

Kaltxi ma tsmuke, and welcome
We had a meet up in Seattle for the June 4 opening for the exhibit at EMP. None of us had ever met in person. US Canada, and the UK. Once we did it was like we had always known each other and we were a family. Not just people that shared an interest. Google tos.mikkowilson.net, and Seattlest EMP, (I'm on the left) and on the Tree of Souls go the Seattle 2012 meetup. There's Youtube videos of our trip. We are planning to go with the Learn Na'vi clan. There was about 18 this year, we hope for 41 next year. At least 5 or 6 of us will come in costume.

Welcome to AF from me too! Its a great community and even if you are not a massive poster (like me) signing up is a great choice cause it gives you a place to share what ever opinions you have and, like a lot of people, a place to vent your feelings. I think for me Avatar Forums is what allowed me to harness the essense of what Avatar made me feel. :)

Avatar made me realize there are still people in the movie and book business that have original ideas. There are so many remakes of movies I was about to give up on anything new and exciting.
Of course there are always Sean Connery movies to watch. I asked Santa for Sean Connery, just one thing and I didn't get it. :,(

Welcome to the campfire, RDAgrey! It is always a pleasure to hear how Avatar touched the soul of a brother or sister and in turn led them to here.
