14. Batman and Catwoman from Batman Returns: This is a bit of a tragic couple. Two vigilantes with different motives. Catwoman resorts to acts that Batman would never think of such as homicide. At the end, they know they can't be together under the circumstances. Same thing with any girl who had a relationship with Batman. Bruce Wayne could not just stop being Batman.

13. Belle and the Beast from Beauty and the Beast: This was a new style of couple for Disney. They didn't fall in love at first sight, in fact, Belle didn't even like him until he saved her life and started acting like a decent guy. When they do fall in love, it's epic to say the least. The story also focuses on who the person is on the inside rather than outward appearances. As the movie reaches its last quarter, we see who the true monster is.

12. Valerie and Ruth from V for Vendetta: This couple appears for only a few scenes in a flashback. It features a lesbian couple who watch the UK fall under the totalitarian rule of the Nazi-inspired Norsefire Party. This couple is featured as a plot device that made V and the main character, Evey stronger, but you feel for them. Ultimately, both women meet a tragic end before the events of the movie.

11. Homer and Marge from the Simpsons: A satire of the middle class American married couple. They have their arguments and fallouts, but most of the time, you know they love each other. And you gotta love the stupid man and smart woman relationships.

10. Anakin and Padme from Star Wars: These two are epically cute once you ignore the god-awful dialogue and bad lines. Anakin had a crush on Padme since he was a kid and she was fourteen. They would have had a beautiful relationship if things had been better. Unfortunately, this was not to be. Palpatine used Anakin's love for Padme as a weapon against him. He played to his anger and guilt of not being able to save his mother to make him believe that Padme would die in childbirth. This led to Anakin's decline. Once Padme died, Anakin lost all hope. He'd already sold himself to the dark side. He had become Darth Vader. However, just before Padme died, she told Obi-Wan that there was still good in her husband. She was right as it turned out. Anakin's hidden good came out from a desire to protect his son, Luke from Palpatine. He killed Palpatine and mortally wounded himself in the process. At the end of the movie you see Anakin as a Force ghost, indicating that he became good again.

9. Shang and Mulan from Mulan: There's no showing of affection, no love song, no "I love you". The romance is subtle but obvious. You can tell they'll be together after the movie.

8. Han and Leia from Star Wars: This is a fun couple. A toned down version of Ron and Hermione (who don't make the list). They start out with non-stop arguing but by the next movie, they've fallen in love. I especially loved Han's reaction when Leia revealed that Luke was her brother.

7. Cecil and Rosa from Final Fantasy IV: These two are so sweet, you get a cavity from them. Unusual for a video game couple, they are already together before the story begins. Rosa braves the monster infested fields and dangerous desert to follow Cecil when the King banishes him and ends up getting gravely ill. Cecil saves her life twice throughout the game. I know that nowadays this would be sexist, but before the final battle, when everyone's about to go to the moon, Cecil orders Rosa and another girl named Rydia off the Airship for their protection. Once they arrive at the moon, we see that Rydia and Rosa stowed away. I mean seriously, these girls have been fighting everything from hordes of soldiers to freak monsters. A dark lord should be a walk in the park.

6. Tidus and Yuna from Final Fantasy X: These two have been through a lot together.Tidus had an alcoholic father who was really hard on him as a kid. Yuna's father died defeating Sin. When Tidus is brought to Spira, he joins Yuna on her pilgrimage to defeat Sin (Sin comes back after the Final Summoning all the time). They and their friends experience much loss and tragedy on their journey. When Tidus finds out the the Final Summoning kills the summoner, you really feel his pain. Even after they find a way to defeat Sin without the Final Summoning, they still couldn't be together. Tidus was a dream of the fayth, and once the fayth woke up, he disappeared.

5. Mai and Zuko from Avatar: They had crushes on each other as kids and you can tell that Zuko had eyes only for Mai. We have the short-fused, hot-headed Zuko and the calm and collected Mai. They balance each other out perfectly. But the defining for these two was in the Boiling Rock when Mai risked execution by betraying Azula to save Zuko's life.

4. Cloud and Tifa from Final Fantasy VII: Where do I begin with these two? First, they grew up together as kids. Cloud had a crush on Tifa, but Tifa never really noticed him much. So he joins Soldier to impress her. Seven years later, the time of the game, you can tell Tifa loves Cloud deeply. I won't give away much, but when the two end up together after all, it's heartwarming.

3. Katara and Aang from Avatar: How can you not love these two? You have a happy-go-lucky boy who is very dedicated to his mission and a girl with motherly instincts, an occasional short fuse, and a caring personality. Their relationship develops in a believable way under the circumstances from a friendship to love. Experiences such as Aang nearly dying brought them closer together, but so did the fun parts.

2. Zidane and Garnet from Final Fantasy IX: It may seem like a peasant and princess relationship, but it's really not. Here is another relationship that formed naturally. Probably the most believable couple of the franchise, you can tell they care about each other from early on. However, Garnet doesn't acknowledge Zidane's flirting until the second half of the game. The ending part when Garnet rushes into his arms was just epic.

1. Fei and Elly from Xenogears: Where do I begin with these two? I could go on forever with their backstory, but this is a love that spans across four incarnations. From their chance meeting in the forest, they could feel a sense of familiarity a bout each other and that each one was special in some way. They start out as reluctant enemies, but Elly betrays her country once she sees what they're doing to the world in plain view and joins Fei. They grow closer by each piece of dialogue they pass, but what makes it so great is that you bond with them. It's not a couple forced on you and that is what makes a fictional pairing great. The love has to feel natural, and that was the case for all these couples. especially the last three.

Favorite couples holy crap.

Well I can't say because if I am interested in couples it is always because I like the girl. I obviously do not like any guys that are with any girls I like so I do not like couples. unless they are girl girl couples like

Jessie and Katie from Once and Again <3
